ALL TIME GREATS ... COMING SOON

Update - I'm finally done thru the 1970's. The good news is - all time legends of baseball will be reuniting once again! The bad news is - I'm slowing down on the project for fear of getting burned out too soon. I've still got the 80,90,00's to go before all the boys meet together again in a LEGEND LEAGUE of monumental porportions.

Imagine the pitching matchups: Cy Young, Mathewson, Addie Joss, Russ & Whitey Ford, Koufax, Ryan, Clemens, Walter & Randy Johnson (both big trains, huh?) and relievers such as Gossage, Sutter, McGraw, Brewer, Regan, Rivera, and on and on, facing such prolific batters as:

Ruth, Dimaggio, Greenberg, Kiner, Bonds, McGuire, Mays, Mantle, Cobb, Musial, Hornsby, Shoeless Joe Jackson, Geo. Foster, Pete Rose, and on and on.

And base stealers such as: Cobb, Brock, Wills, etc.

How many pitchers will throw a complete game against a daily lineup of Murderer's Row or a Gas House Gang of base thieves?

Most likely the game will come down to DEFENSE and that's where the GOLD GLOVES will come in handy!

Of course all the managers baseball skills will be tested to the MAX! Using your bench to grind out that last run or mounting a late inning comback will be even more important now. And, you'll have the bench to do it with too! No more Mario Mendoza's to come up representing the tying run with the bases loaded in the ninth. Not here folks - the only problem with your pinch hitter or late inning reliever may be more the result of fatigue than lack of skills!

The LEGENDS LEAGUE will not be for the faint of heart!
