Eugene Church Logos

It has been suggested that I start a new thread for my logo requests. I will post one set at a time for the guys who have said they will work on this project. Once a set has been completed by one of them (or others unknown if they would like to designs some), another set will be posted

A "set" consists of a major league team and its 3 farm teams.
(I have 4 separate leagues).

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS: make them easy to read...put them on a white background (other colors such as yellow, light blue, light green, etc, can be used if they don't make it hard to see).

BOTH TRADITIONAL AND MODERN DESIGNS.

PLEASE PUT BOTH CITY NAME AND NICKNAME IN THE LOGO.
(If you can't find a suitable mascot for the nickname, just use the Boston Red Sox's circular style logo design with "Boston Red Sox" in the outer circle and a "B" in the center circle).

If possible, please use my color suggestions... BUT FEEL FREE TO CHOOSE YOUR OWN COLORS IF YOU LIKE (Do one in my colors and do one in your colors. A choice would be nice, but not necessary).

HERE IS SET #!:

NEW YORK YANKEES
COLORS: DARK BLUE AND WHITE

Use the Yankee logo that they use (the dark blue "NY")...you can see it on "chriscreamer.com".
Put the dark blue "NY" (the "N" and "Y" are overlaid...I think it's on their caps and road uniforms) on a white background in the center circle...then in an outer circle put "NEW YORK YANKEES" in white letters on a dark blue background...place "NEW YORK" in the top of the circle and "YANKEES" in the bottom of the circle.

Create your own Yankee logo if you would like.

FARM TEAMS:

BUFFALO BOMBERS (for Bronx Bombers)...use dark blue pins stripes if you think they look good)...or use your own colors.

BIRMINGHAM BARONS (former Yankee farm team)...use dark blue pin stripes if they fit your design).

RALEIGH BLUE STRIPES (for Yanks famous blue pin stripes...use them if they don't clutter up your design...my suggestion: use a circle with a fancy "R" in the center circle...surrounded by "Raleigh Blue Stripes" in the outer circle...use dark blue and white colors for my suggestion).

Let me know if I'm giving you too many details and I will shorten the instructions for the next set.

Thanks for your time and talent. You are really great guys to participate in this huge project (about 80 logos).

Shub...you are creative and skilled...in a word...BRILLIANT...Or better, yet...A BRILLIANT GENIUS.

...and fast.

HERE IS SET #2:
...I don't expect you to do them today. I just said in the initial post that I would give the next set whenever a set was finished.

BOSTON RED SOX
red primary color with black and white trim

(Relationship to Major League Team....all farm teams have SOX in their names) Design them similar to Boston's circular logo with the socks in the center... or do your own thing...Just stick with the primary color.

SAN JOSE GOLD SOXX (NOTE 2 XX'S)
gold primary color with black and white trim

CHARLOTTE BLUE SOX
sky blue primary color with dark blue and white trim...use red trim, too, if it fits in.

RENO SILVER SOX
Silver primary color with black and white trim

Shub...is it possible to make "BUFFALO" the same size as "BOMBERS"...it doesn't show up well when it's installed in the game...maybe make the plane a little smaller to increase the size of "BUFFALO".

Also...add a horizontal blue line (stripe) across the top to fill in the spaces. This will enclose the logo on all four sides.

If you can't...this is still great.

Shub is one of my fav logo designers because of this. There's a nice from-an-earlier-generation appeal to yours.

I'm just a fan of logos from when I first started out with sports back in the mid-80's (I'm only 26 ya know). Logos from back then were just more fun, they were simple, they did their job and everyone still remembers them. Nowadays it's all about teams trying to find a way to use teal for their colors or to make them so flashy that they look like crap on an actual uniform. Nothing is more simple or classic than the Yankee's NY logo, and nothings changed since the 1930's. Don't get me wrong though, everyone on here does awesome work and if I didn't know how to do it myself, I would be here asking for logos. We all just have our own style. I'm just glad that everyone likes the work that we all do.
