Classic Lineup Help

I want to start a league that starts way back in the 40's and want to use rosters from that time. I went to baseballsimcentral and tried to download a roster from there but it didn't work, so is their anyother place to get one? Thanks a lot,

Have you looked into importing using the Lahman database (or varients of the database)?
