Logo Needed - Mexico City Aztecs of WLB

I desperately need a logo for my team. My early logo was really bad and I never got a newer one. I'd like my logo to include a graphic of an Aztec/Mayan type pyramid and possibly some sunbeams coming out from behind the pyramid. I'll attach some images I found that could maybe be used as inspiration or as a basis.

This one is some text I like and it uses the Aztec Sunstone, a religious symbol.

This is the kind of pyramid I had in mind. The logo can be cartoonish or refined or stylized or whatever. So long as it is good. I prefer Southwestern type colors if possible. Oranges, Reds, Yellows, Black. Some type of combo that looks good.

Thanks so much. I'd really appreciate any help. I've tried and tried to do something nice, but my Photoshop skills are pathetic. Any pointers on how to use Photoshop to do logos would be great too.
