Who wants to try 8 old-time logos for the UBA?
Hey guys... I enjoy working on my own logos, but it occurs to me that I should take advantage of all the talent out there and see what you might come up with for the eight teams of the UBA
![]() If you want to try, remember that this is 1901 and they really should have an old-world look - yet I'd like something more than just an Old English Letter for all the teams. It might be reasonable to think of Jerseys as well - anyway... take a look at what logos I did with in the UBA link below. Just thought I'd like to see what you come up with ... by the way, the UBA is "my baby" so I might be a bit picky ![]() Henry |

I'll give it a try Henry. Not sure how old fashioned it might end up looking, but try to do a couple of the teams.

Well not necessarily. From what I can tell of the old logos, for the most part they were rather simple and involved text only, though of course a few had other elements in them.
I have a nice idea for the Brooklyn Excelsiors. I think I'm going to do that one first.

Henry is this kind of what your looking for. A set like this with different colors for the different teams.

Nice nmleague. My idea was along somewhat similar lines... but different enough to get done anyway.

The old english font is fine for the big capital letter, but not the best for the small ones, hard to read
Oh I used Paint Shop Pro 6 and 8 for these

These are looking good - I realy appreciate all the work and ideas
nmleague... I like the 1st Excelsiors logo the best - best combination of colors, but using non-caps in the name may look better - curious though on what LGO is thinking. SanDiego... The 1st Pastime Club is better, more suggestive of an earlier time... actually I LIKE the 2nd one, but the colors remind me of Art Deco 1930s style (maybe I'll keep that one for later). I'm not in any big hurry guys - so take your time if you get an idea later ![]() ps: I just finished the 1901 season and will be posting results in a couple days. Henry |
