San Jose Cuervo

The San Jose Cuervo of Pioneers of the Diamond are in need of a new logo. The one they have now isn't bad but I feel it is a bit lacking.

It doesn't have to be a bottle of liquor, there really isn't any requirements. I haven't had any luck so I hope on of you guys can. Thanks!

Current logo:

Let me know if you like it, or not.

And if you do, if you want any changes.

(When I think of Cuervo, I think of bird )

Nice work, Big Willis.

Do what azkyote wants...

but I think you should make the bird more visible...it gets lost in the black background....maybe put it in an orange circle and on a white background...then let the rest of it be black.

Hope you don't mind the suggestion.

I did just start doing this a week ago, so any suggestions would be real helpful. I seem to be doing the same kind of logo idea everytime. Hah.

You are really getting good with that ornamental iron framing...it really looked good on the Caracas Lions you did for me.

The circular belt buckle type emblem is a very nice touch.

Nice font, too.

Please don't be offended, I would prefer more solid colors in your logos. I think they would show up better and catch the eye...just a constructive observation.

Unfortunately I am not yet sure how to access the solid colors on my program.

Scotto, your last one is nice.

Big Willis, I know what you mean how it seems like all of yours are the same, because I do that too. Just try different things, like instead of always having city name on top, team name on bottom, try doing one with the logo over a big initial of the city (most MLB teams use 1 or 2 letters in their logo). I like how those look. I like your logo here though, good job.

Big Willis:

You would never know you have only been making logos a week.

You are making great progress.

Keep up the good work.

Suggestions for good logos:

Logos that have good color coordination...good contrast so the logo is easy to read...uncluttered (some are so busy or modernistic that you can't figure out what it is)...some indication of city...either complete name or single letter...make the city and nickname large enough to be seen...small lettering does not how up well on some of the OOTPB game screens...use trim on the lettering most of the time (this helps with the contrast and separates it from the background...don't let your mascot or lettering get lost in the background)...use multi-circles or rings occasionally around the mascot or lettering...use tails on script lettering, swirls or swooshes sometimes...and most of the time frame the entire logo...sometimes with two colors...sometime with one.
