Citizens Bank Park - New Phillies Home

The Philadelphia Phillies will move from Veterans Stadium to beautiful new Citizens Bank Park for the 2004 season. Designed by the ballpark-specialist HOK architectural firm of Kansas City, Citizens Bank Park cost $458 million dollars to construct - of which $172 million was supplied by the Phillies ball club. Sponsor Citizens Bank will supply $95 million over 25 years for naming rights and underwriting the team's broadcast package.

The park seats 43,500 and has 71 luxury suites and two restaurants. The stadium features the largest LED display board in the National League.

The park has irregular dimensions, wall heights, and angles reminiscent of vintage parks such as Wrigley Field and Fenway Park. A multileveled bullpen is located in right center field and a large plaza directly behind. There are a section of rooftop bleachers behind the bullpen and a 100 foot tall illuminated Liberty Bell that rings for every Phillies home run.

NOTE: This is the new record-holder for production time at a little over two weeks. I will post another version of this park with fans added on Sunday. I will also include the dimensions and ballpark factors. I thought you might want to have an early look-see. (I apologize for the Philly Phanatic and the jubilant Tug McGraw. They must have snuck in when I wasn't looking.)

Very, very nice work. Really, the only complaint I would have is that the bell looks a little blurry, almost like there's two or three of them there or something. Nothing big though.

I thought you had left again.
