Updated 2004 Roster Set Complete (Update of CBL 1.3)

Hey guys my name is Matt Bodenheimer, and I am a long time OOTP fan and never been a mod maker or roster maker, until now LOL. I had some time on my hands the last 4 days and completly updated The CBL1.3 roster set. And due to the fact that Heath took the file down from his site, and also said he was done with the file. I decided to update it, and keep the name the same, unless he asks to change it. I am currently looking for a server to place the file on. I was hoping to find someone in here that could possibly host the file. Below I have attached the Readme to CBL 1.4.

CBL 1.4 Readme

First off, let me thank the following for their contributions to the roster set:
Heath – Who created CBL 1.3
Michael Green- creating the REAL 2004 MLB Schedule
David C Helper- providing information on market size/loyalty/fan attendance/TV Rev.
Mike Pacetti- Salary/contract info
Winston Han- Stadium info and misc. info.
Jim Wisenberg- Misc info.

Version 1.2 features:

* 2003 stats
* Splits for over 800+ players based on 3 year averages (2001, 2002, 2003).
* REAL MLB 2004 schedule
* Realistic finances; Large market teams earn more-Small market less.
* Salaries set to 70%
* 40 man rosters (might have missed a few). Should be close to 98-99% accurate as of January.
* League histories updated with information from 2003 season. (MVP, Gold Gloves, etc)
* Career leaders feature the real MLB all-time leaders.

Version 1.3 features:
* ALL Prospects in John Sickels 2004 Baseball Prospect Book. Yep, that’s right…nearly 1,000 PROSPECTS!!!
* MOST Non-Roster Spring Training invitees
* Up-to-date major injuries as of March 15th, 2004.
* Teams feature anywhere from 55-75 players on their ROSTER!
* Prospects placed approximately at the level they should be! (* I tried my best on information provided…most should be at the level they will compete at this year, or ended 2003 at.)


Due to Heath’s work and college, he will not be updating this set, and as of 3-28-04, Heath took the file off of his website.
With Heath unable to update this set, I took the opportunity to update it the best I possibly could, and I kept the name the same, in tribute to him. (Heath if you want the name changed please let me know.)


Version 1.4 includes.
* Added close to 50 more prospect’s
* Added players that were not created by Heath who are now on active MLB rosters.
* Up-to-date injuries as of April 12, 2004.
* Up-to-date 25 man active rosters as of April 12, 2004
* Up-to-date lineup and pitching rotations as of April 12, 2004
* Florida Marlin’s AAA and AA rosters complete with starting lineups.
* Correct Jersey Numbers for all MLB Players.
* Correct Manager names of all MLB Teams

Some things I wanted to get to, but didn’t:
I want to create current AAA and AA rosters for all MLB teams, but due to the fact that this roster might not be able to be used with OOTP6, I decided to put that on hold for now.
To take full advantage of this set, I recommend this mods to OOTP5

*I edited several player names to take advantage of this set. (The one player name I did not change is Ken Griffey Jr. I just couldn’t take the JR off, to fix this just edit the .BMP file to read Ken_Griffey Jr.bmp)

* Make sure you extract the files to OOTP5\Graphics\ANKIT. If you just extract the files to OOTP5\Graphics it will not work.

quick note... I just started playing with this and all teams are pretty much maxed on payroll. I took the Mets and tried to trade Tom Glavine, every team I clicked on said they could not afford his salary.

There are a couple reasons to this, #1 I did all the changes with the ingame editor , and not inporting and exporting the CSV files. #2 I added more players. You can fix this by editing the max payroll for the league. And I belive ( Dont have the game in front of me) maybe change wach teams cash on hand.

I would expect this. Besides the Yankees and Red Sox, what teams are willing to go above their opening day payroll as of now? Later in the season that will change, but on opening day every team says that is the most they can spend.

And, I'm pretty sure that no one would take Tom Glavine unless the Mets paid a lot of his salary.

Yep. You have to enable them in the League Setup screen

Yes it is. I started a new league using it and I had no problems. God I love this version.

I downloaded 1.4 for ootp6 and when ever i load it, the game crashes and an error message comes up. how do i fix it?

You need to convert it to work with OOTP6, I believe v 1.4 is a version for OOTP5.
