Newbie to CatoBase

Does CatoBase need to be run from the first year of a league's existence to get "the full effect"? I'm in my 8th season and started to run CatoBase. I'm guessing I would have needed to run it after the first season to get all of the stats right? Just curious so I can get ready for OOTP6 (I'm sure I'll be starting a new league when that comes out). Thanks for your time!

I have similar questions. I just spent 2 hours getting the thing rolling. I imported the stats in my 2020 league and all I got was season 2020. I didn't get anything in from the previous 16 years of the league. Kinda dissapointing after all that time... What am I doing wrong? Or if there is no way to do this, then what do you suggest I do the NEXT time I start a league.

Run it after every season? At what point etc...
I found the documentation to be inadequet.

Yes, to have the "full effect" you need to run it after each season, before clicking the 'Proceed to Next Season' button. The reason for this is that OOTP only keeps a small subset of stats after you proceed to the next season. If you look at a player in OOTP, you'll see quite alot of stats for the current season. But, in the career section, there are only a few stats. All the stats you don't see in the career section are gone from the data files when the season rolls over. Without the missing stats, many of the pages cannot be created.

If you use the career exporter, the stats from the previous season will be imported and displayed on the player pages. But there still won't be team/league pages for those years.
