Any ideas for logos?

I'm looking for logos for the West Side Sodas and the Binghamton Ballbusters.

Ideas?

Scotto, what program do you use to round your text like that? It's not MSPaint, is it? And, if so, how do you do it?

It is easy to do in Adobe Photoshop or Elements.

My cheap program (Becker Draw) does not round text. I actually have to do it by turning one letter at a time. It sucks, but at times neccessary.

Delightful post, Living Legend.

Now could you swap out the football players and insert baseball players.

Just kidding.

LL - I was thinking of getting Elements - is that a pretty decent setup? I've been using a freeware program called Serif PhotoPlus 5.5 which isn't bad, but has a fairly limited setup as far as effects. I don't want to spend a lot of money for the full-blown Photoshop but will Elements be a good compromise?

Cardinal, how does PhotoPlus compare to MSPaint in terms of ease of use, quality of logos, rounding text, etc. Just curious if it's an upgrade over Paint.

I have only used Photoshop but some friends who have Elements swear by it. For the price difference they tell me it’s a great deal since most of the things missing from Elements that are in Photoshop are things that mostly only pro graphic designers would use. I know with Photoshop I probably only use it to about 10-15% of its potential with my online league, the USBA, and for logos for my solo leagues and my fictional face pack photos. Everything I do on it was self taught (trial and error!) and I learn something new all the time. Luckily I did not have to pay since my wife's company bought it for her for work. Turns out after they bought her for her they outsized the graphics design work to an independent contractor so she doesn't even use it.

Sorry about the joke post
I'll see if I can make it up to you with something tonight when I get home from work.

It's probably a little bit of an upgrade over paint, but stills leaves something to be desired. For example, I wanted to add a curve effect to my text, but there's no way to do that other than manually turn each letter. So needless to say, I'm not curving the text

You can check PhotoPlus for free - it's an older version of their current software - at www.freeserifsoftware.com.

Meanwhile, I found out through work that I could get Paint Shop Pro 8 for about $10, so I picked that up yesterday but haven't played with it at all yet.

Like "WOW", PK.

Super neato keen (my wife from the late 60's favorite phrase).

It means it is darn good.

That baseball looks like one we used to play with at Galvez Park in Mobile, Alabama in the 50's.

Very creative and well done.
