Catobase Problem
I was creating the HTML pages and the program created all the pages for the players. However, it stopped just as it was doing the schedule splits for the teams.
I'm guessing I may not have the right league directory set up. What specific file should I be looking for and what part of the directory setup should be looking for it? Thanks. |

Are you using the latest version? I fixed a similar problem recently. I think it was minor league records of 0-0 that were causing that problem.
If you are using the latest version, fill out a support ticket at www.equlanicity.com and attach your data files, and I'll see what's happening.

I downloaded Catobase 6. When I start it, the program says that it can't find any files. The only options available are to open a file or create a new file. Have I missed an important step here?

You have to download, unzip, and run the setup program for version 5.4.0. Then, unzip the 6.0.0 update into the folder you installed 5.4.0 in (default is c:\program files\catobase).

I ran Catobase 6. I'm still playing with OOTP 5. The program created the player pages, but not the team pages. It kept getting Error 76 at the fifth team alphabetically in my combined leagues, which is Connecticut. I would skip the error, and Catobase would start again with some other calculation and go through five teams. At Connecticut, Error 76 would keep popping up.
Any ideas? |

Not sure if this would be it, but on my laptop I have WinNT 4.0. I can't delete folders called 'con'. Could be related. You could try to change the team abbreviation to something else and see if it works.
If not, send me you're data files and I'll see what's happening.

How far back do I make this change? Do I change the abbreviation in OOTP, export the hTML files, run CommishJoe's Exporter, etc.? Or can I make the make changes near the end in Catobase?
I play OOTP on a laptop with WinMe, but I put the files on an external hard drive I move between the laptop and my desktop. The desktop runs XP, but the hard drive runs Me so my laptop can use it.

I would change it in OOTP and rerun the HTML files, ect. That way you don't have to worry about it next season.
If you don't want to do that for some reason, you can edit the teams.csv file in Notepad and change the abbreviation there. You'll find in about the middle of the line. You'll also need to edit the lnews.html file to change it there, too.
