GMO, could you create a schedule like this for my Metro Leagues...

16 teams, 8 in each league.
16 games against the other 7 teams. (Completely balanced 112 game schedule.)
May/June thru September (All-Star game included.)

Just want to commend all of the folkes doing work here. I run a solo league called the Metro Leagues. I'm currently running a 100 game schedule. Used stickware to create it. But, it's always been a sore spot that the schdeule is not perfectly balanced. I'd like to have a completely balanced schedule so I'm willing to switch the league to a 112 game schedule. Thanks.

Thanks a bunch, GMO. This will work just fine.

36 team, 178 game schedules

2 leagues, 3 divisions per league, 6 teams per division
70 games in the division (14 per opponent)
72 interdivisional games (6 per opponent)
36 interleague games (6 per opponent)

For jazzrack's request, at least almost. I had forgotten until literally right now about his wanting the All-Star Game to be in August. Instead it is at the usual mid-July point. Sorry about that.

Other than that I did the best I could to put it together while still keeping the regular meaning to the days of the week. Each team plays about 6 doubleheaders. Offdays may be a bit more common though than jazzrack would have preferred as with the adding of 16 games to the schedule, 10 more days were added, which along with the doubleheader days means the schedule has about 20 offdays per team (including the All-Star Break), pretty much the same as a current MLB 162 game schedule.

The three separate files provide interleague matchups against each of the three divisions of the other league.

As usual, see the comments at the tops of the files for more details.

22 team, 162 game schedules

2 leagues, 2 divisions per league, 5 and 6 teams in the divisions of each league
66-76 intradivision games (depending on division)
50-60 interdivision games (depending on division)
30-36 interleague games (depending on division)

All possible configurations of the 5- & 6-team divisions in the two leagues are included in the zip file attached. There are two such groups of schedule, one for interleague games against each of the two divisions of the other league.

See the README file included in the zip for more details.

24 team, 162 game schedules

2 leagues, 2 divisions, 6 teams in each division
60 intradivision games (30H/30A), 12 games per opponent
66 interdivision games (33H/33A), 11 games per opponent
36 interleague games (18H/18A), 3 games per opponent

The two versions are the same except for reversing the home/away matchups so that if used consecutively the total home/away matchup game numbers are even over a two season period.

See the top of the files for more details.

GMO, kudos for the amazing work you've put forth in this thread for everyone's enjoyment.

I have a schedule request as well. Lords of Baseball, the league in my sig, is in need of a proper schedule.

The league format is a 162 game schedule, 26 teams, two leagues, 3 divisions in each league. 5 teams in the AL East and Central, 4 teams in the AL West, and 4 teams in each of the NL divisions. We're looking for an unbalanced schedule, with teams playing a significant portion of the schedule in their own division, and with preferably all of the games in Sept./Oct. being played inside the division.

There are in other schedules league configurations that match those in your request. So the easiest thing would be to just pluck the 14-team league out of its schedule, the 12-team from its schedule, and slap them together. Here are the matchup numbers per opponent by division for those:
Code:
AL Intradivision Interdivision
5-team division 18-19 (x4 teams) 9-10 (x9 teams)
5-team division 19 (x4 teams) 9-10 (x9 teams)
4-team division 22 (x3 teams) 9-10 (x10 teams)
NL Intradivision Interdivision
4-team division 22 (x3 teams) 12 (x8 teams)
4-team division 22 (x3 teams) 12 (x8 teams)
4-team division 22 (x3 teams) 12 (x8 teams)
Is that unbalanced enough for you? Also, I noticed you did not have interleague in your schedule for the most recent season - you don't want interleague games, right?

At very least I would rearrange matchups at the end of the season to get more intradivision games like you want. With a couple of 5-team divisions there cannot be all intradivision games at any given time, and nine of so intradivision series in a row can play some havoc with keeping homestands/roadtrips reasonable. But I think I can certainly make, let's say "most", of the last month intradivision.

You are not required to just take what I'm offering above if you what something else. But I have to say what would be easy, especially since at the moment it may take a while for me to make something from scratch. Adding interleague (like with divisions matching up like MLB does now) would be complicated by the uneven numbers of teams per division. Making the schedule even more unbalanced would probably require 6-7 interdivision games per opponent rather than 9-12, leading to 25 to 30+ intradivision games, which is probably too many.

Again, always ask for what you want, just remember I may know what you want better than you .

This looks like what we are shooting for.

No interleague games are desired.

Hey GMO.......In the Lords of Baseball, we do not play interleague games. I want a schedule where the bulk of the beginning and end of the season are played within their own divisions. I would appreciate if you could come up with a nice schedule where at least the final month of the season is played within a teams own division, as Darkhorse has prescribed.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks BC Stone (Lords of Baseball)

Thanks for clarifying, especially since you're happy with what is largely already pre-fabbed .

When I can get back to it I'll see how much I can juggle things to frontload then especially backload the intradivision games for you.

26 team, 162 game schedule

2 leagues, 3 divisions per league,
-in first league divisions of 5, 5, and 4 teams,
-in second league divisions of 4, 4, and 4 teams
66-76 intradivision games, 18-22 games per opponent
86-96 interdivision games, 9-12 games per opponent
no interleague games

To get this same schedule but for a different configuration with the two leagues reversed and/or the 14-team league divisions in a different order, just make a request for it in this thread. It is a simple exercise to juggle the teams do make such adjustments, but only the one version requested is posted here for now.

A schedule for the {4,4,4;4,5,5} configuration is available here:
http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...615#post898615

See the top of the file for more details.

EDIT (2004/10/19) - A fix was made to the schedule today, moving a game because it accidentily left a team playing two away games one day. If you downloaded this schedule between the original post date and this edit date you can download the fixed file attached now or correct the schedule yourself by changing the line "154,12,10,7" to "151,12,10,7"

Bravo, maestro.

One other benefit of this beautiful schedule is a bounty of games inside the division during the pressure cooker of the pennant stretch run.

Many thanks, GMO.

Scprideandms, your format doesn't add up to 152 games. 15 other teams in the league x 8 games per team = 120 games. Now, 15 teams x 10 games per team = 150 games, which is closer, but still not the 152 games you listed.

If you had two 20-team leagues each split into two 10-team divisions, that would mean 19 other teams in the league x 8 games per team = 152 games.

You'll need to clarify exactly what it is you're after.

PureSim Import

For those folks who play both OOTP and PureSim I just added a feature that will be released soon which will allow PureSim 2004 to import OOTP6 custom schedule files directly into PureSim.

I can't believe how many schedules there are here. Nice work guys.
