10 team, 134 game schedule

2 leagues, 1 division per league, 5 teams per division
{or 1 league, 2 divisions, 5 teams per division}
104 games within the division (26 per opponent)
30 games outside division (6 per opponent)

See the top of the file for more details.

EDIT 2005/01/05: The schedule file was replaced because the comments atop the file erroneously said the All-Star Game should be added 07/13 rather than the appropriate date of 07/20, which the updated file says. No changes were made to the schedule itself.

Is this just second nature for you gmo? You seem to do this schedule so easily. It's quite a marvel to watch you just bust them out like nothing.

I think it's great what you do for this community and should be acknowledged greatly. Great job gmo!

If anyone gets a bit of time I would really appreciate a 162 game schedule for the following league setup

2 leagues, 26 teams
League 1, 3 divisions 4,4,4
League 2, 3 divisions, 4,5,5

Don't worry about interleague play, maybe in the future.

TIA

26 team, 162 game schedule

2 leagues, 3 divisions per league,
-in first league divisions of 4, 4, and 4 teams
-in second league divisions of 4, 5, and 5 teams,
66-76 intradivision games, 18-22 games per opponent
86-96 interdivision games, 9-12 games per opponent
no interleague games

This schedule is just the same as the one posted here:
http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...112#post829112
except with the team numbers rearranged into the configuration above.

See the top of the file for more details.

EDIT (2004/10/21) - Simply added another version of the schedule with the first & second divisions of second league switch so format is {4,4,4;5,4,5}.

Request for a schedule

Hi everyone; I have scrolled through the schedule requests, and this one may sound weird.
This is for 2001 (I guess I'll be able to edit it for each subsequent year).
First of all - league setup: 12 teams, 2 leagues, 2 divisions (aka 3 teams per division), with an all-star break.
Secondly: 154 game schedule - team plays each division opponent 23 times; all other teams in the league 12 times (including interleague).
Third of all - instead of the weekend series being fri/sat/sun, the series would be wed/thu/fri, with all friday games being day games. Meaning: just move everything 2 days back; Saturday would be mostly night games. As for opening day - Sunday.
Last but not least - league starts the 3rd Sunday in March.
If there are any questions about this, feel free to ask.
Thank you very much.

12 team, 154 game schedule

2 leagues, 2 divisions per league, 3 teams per division
46 games within the division (23 per opponent)
36 games outside division, in league (12 per opponent)
72 interleague games (12 per opponent)

One version of the file is just a generic version, while the other version of the file, the one with the "_1" added to the filename, is adjusted to fit the requests in this post.

See the top of the files for more details.

24 team, 154 game schedule

2 leagues, 4 divisions per league, 3 teams per division
46 games within the division (23 per opponent)
108 games outside division, in league (12 per opponent)
no interleague games

This schedule is just a "doubling-up" of the generic version of this schedule.

See the top of the files for more details.

Maybe I do hear some weird requests around these parts, but since there's all kinds in the world I just try to give people want they want and not be judgmental.

I made a schedule like you wanted in my generic manner then went back and shifted things to move the starting date up a couple weeks, move the weekdays back by two, set it to be for 2001, and set some of the times to day games. Let me know if you did not get all you wanted.

As for making the schedule fit with the same parameters for the days of the week for other years, there is some discussion of that beginning at around post number 164 in this thread and running through several posts right after that.

If you do nothing at the beginning of a subsequent season the same schedule will be used with the teams within a division likely being mixed up (for example, the first year A & B played in the first season, but the next season maybe A & C, or B & C, or even A & B could be in that matchup's place). The benefits to this are that you get the exact same format but with a little variety in where the matchups fall. The negative aspect is that the weekdays will not match the calendar - the calendar is identical every year, unlike how it changes year-to-year in reality. In your case, if you never changed it your schedule would begin each season on Sunday March 18. The problem is that March 18 is only occasionally a Sunday. Actually though it is not really a problem, it works just fine in the game, and many people probably go that route just not worrying about that little detail.

But if you are the perfectionist sort, you can alter the schedule file slightly in a spreadsheet and reimport it in the preseason each year. This thread would likely be useful in going that route if you wanted to go to the trouble. If you only change the day numbers in the file to fit reality and reimport the same matchups each year, the repetitiveness will probably become a major negative very soon. One thing you can do is flip the home & away team columns to add a bit of variety. What I do for myself is copy the schedule data into a spreadsheet, make the data changes, and run it through a routine to mix up the teams for a new season. Like in your case I would perhaps set it to change team1 to team3, team2 to team1, team 3 to team2, and likewise for each of the divisions. Then I resave the data as a new file to import for the new season.

On the same Edit Schedule screen under League Setup where you can import the CSV format schedule there is a button there in the lower right hand fourth by which you can set a date for an All-Star Game. Simply mouse-press it and a box pops up asking you to input a date for the game. I try to always remember to note in the header of a schedule file I make the date that I have set aside for an All-Star Game (assuming there is a break there, which I generally add unless it is requested I do not).

Every time you import a schedule you should input the All-Star Game date if you want that game, as even if a date is already there the game will not be scheduled after the import.

I made a slight error here, league 2 is in fact a 5,4,5 setup. Whenever there is a spare bit of time I would very much appreciate this change to made from the above schedule (post #267). No hurry though

I added another version like you want up in the post above. That was an easy change, yet since it was so easy I did not test it. It looked correct, and I think it is fine, but check it out on the report when you import it to make sure everything is as it should be.

Hello,

I'm looking for a 110 game schedule for two 6 team leagues. No interleague games, 22 games against each team in the league, 11 home games, 11 away games.

That's all.

Want an All-Star Break, and if so when? What the season to start later on the calendar, end earlier, or some of both? Could start in late May & end ~Oct1, start in early April & end early Aug, or slide somewhere between.

You don't sound too concerned about the details, but I thought I'd ask since I might not be to take a crack at this myself this week.

I'm sorry about the lack of details. Late May or early June would be good. No all-star break. Also, I am in no hurry, so if you do this you don't have to rush. Thanks.
