My first contribution.

It's a slightly modified version of the 1929 Pacific Coast League schedule. It is for a single league of 8 teams.

The season runs 28 weeks long, opening on Tue. Mar. 26 and closing on Sun. Oct. 6. Each team plays 200 games. It is slightly unbalanced, but most PCL schedules were unbalanced, so this wasn't an issue to me. A team plays 1 opponent 31 times, 1 opponent 29 times, and the remaining 5 opponents 28 times each. The home-away totals are also slightly unbalanced, with each team either playing 101-99 or 99-101. This was unavoidable due to the extra games played on the three holidays, and in any event was also a common occurrence in many PCL schedules.

I've left in the traditional doubleheaders played on Sundays and holidays, as I was intending originally to use this schedule to test out twin bills a bit more. The main remaining issue with doubleheaders seems to be when the same pitcher starts both games of the twin bill. However, this does not occur often and it entirely the result of the way the game updates a pitcher's fatigue when using the "Start Highest Rested Starter" option. If you use "Strict Rotation" you should not run into this problem (I intend to test this myself to be sure).

A four man rotation should be sufficient. Under strict rotation, the only likely problem will be that the pitcher who starts the Thursday game will also be set to start the second Sunday game. This means he'll be starting on only two days rest instead of three or four. The only other trouble spot will be the Labor Day holiday, since it means all teams play two consecutive days of doubleheaders.

Start times have been set to 3 p.m. for single games. The first game of a twin bill has been set to 1 p.m. while the second game has been set to 4 p.m. The "Year Starts On" value for 1929 is Tuesday.

Anyway, I just thought I'd post it up in case anyone wanted to give it a try.

Well, just a heads-up for those trying out doubleheaders in the PCL schedule. It turns out that "Strict Rotation" only solves the double starter problem depending on what you do on the day of the doubleheaders.

I just tested this and if you sim the entire day in one go, the same starter will pitch both games of the twin bill. If however you sim the first games of the twin bills individually, then the starter for the second game will be updated and incremented to the proper pitcher. You can then sim the rest of the day in one go and you should have two different starting pitchers in each of the two games.

I say "should" because I did have a case where the same starter pitched both games in spite of having "strict rotation" selected. However, this could be for several reasons, not the least of which I had used "start highest rested starter" option in the league's previous week. This may have mixed up the order a bit. I'll do some more checking on this.

In all cases the player stats accumulate just fine.

Interestingly, if you use a strict 4 man rotation and throw in a spot starter for the second Sunday game, you end up with what amounts to a 5 man rotation. In each two week period, the #1 to #4 starters will pitch 3 games each, while the spot starter will pitch 2 games.

Now, if we could get Markus to have the player and pitcher fatigue updated after each game instead of at the end of the current day, this would almost certainly solve the remaining big doubleheader issue.

Oh, and a little fine-tuning to the AI logic when it comes to pitcher usage, particularly spot starters, and things would likely be very good...

I may be able to give a try at this soon... You mean two 5-team divisions in each league? Prefer with or without interleague?

I have done one with 2 five team divisions each league- 160 games, 20 against your own division, 12 against other division, and 20 interleague games, I can send it to someone to post if you'd like it.

2 Leagues, One Division, 8 Teams Total - 52 Games!

Each team plays each other team in their league 12 times, split into 2 home and 2 away 3-game series. They also play 2 2-game series (one home and one away) against each team in another league.

All league games are played in on Fri/Sat/Sun night. Interleague is played midweek, either Tue/Wed or Wed/Thu. The allstar game is in the last week of the season.

Anybody got a schedule like the one used by MLB in 1976? Two leagues, four divisions, six teams per division (24 total teams), unbalanced schedule, no interleague?

If anyone has the actual 1987 league schedule please let me know. I recently completed my 1987 OOTP6 League File and would love to have the real 1987 schedule as part of the file.

Thanks!

Request for 30-Team League

I'm looking for one (or both) of the following formats...

30 teams total (2 15-team leagues, 3 5-team divisions per league)
All 3-games series
Include days off
Include All Star Game
Season starts on Monday

Format A:
165 games total
60 games within division (15 games against each division opponent)
60 games vs. other divisions in league (6 games against other 10 teams in league)
45 interleague games (3 games against each team in other league)

Format B: (Same as A, except 12 fewer games [1 less intradivision series per team])
153 games total
48 games within division (12 games against each division opponent)
60 games vs. other divisions in league (6 games against other 10 teams in league)
45 interleague games (3 games against each team in other league)

Thanks in advance.

I could be wrong since I don't have the game on my notebook but don't you have to have an even number of teams in each league?
