New Improved Player Pic Template!
Deft's OOTP6 Player Picture Photoshop Templates
After reading about several people using my old template, I thought I would update it and make it easier to make custom uniforms. The instructions for use are in the readme. Its basic structure is a base template file that you duplicate layers into to create the uniform you want. I will be making additional addons so you can make just about anything you want easily. Here's three quick samples I made using it. Good luck!

very nice but I am getting an error when I try and open the playerpicbase psd file. Error message says
An unidentified error has occurred - 565 when I try and open it with Paintshop Pro. All other psd files open with no issues. Anyone else having a problem with it?

Very nice Deft. How do you do the necks? I know your other template had a fair and dark neck. Your generic faces seem to have a wide range of tones. Also, your hints for making more realistic faces were very helpful. Thank you very much for placing this for download.
****EDIT**** Sorry Deft...I figured out the smudge tool after messing around. Thanks again for this template.

I have made some more addons: Wide button pad Thin button pad Pinstripes I will work on a chest protector soon. I would like to upload these to a site other than baseballsimcentral. Any takers? A couple of ideas for how to use the templates: Make batches psd files with 25-30 player pictures in them like my generic faces file, so we can build a ready made database where you can change a players picture for whatever team he plays for and it would be easy to build a massive picture file database. Make chest and cap logo addons. This would make custom teams easy to make with a variety of uniform designs.

A quick question. I can't seem to find a smudge or burn tool on paint shop pro. Are these there or only available through Photoshop?
Thanks again to Deft for all of his template work. Here are couple of minor leaguers from my top prospect list I just made images for. First one plays for the Dodge City Dodgers and second one is from the Fargo Flyers.

Tiger Fan, I haven't worked with Paintshop in a long time. One option might be to copy a section of the player's neck and paste on another layer and then move it around to smooth out the seems.
Also, make sure you when you bring in the player's picture, you bring it on a layer below the shadow layer. It will make the player's faces and hats look more seemless.

Added several more addons including pinstripes and catcher gear and got a reliable download site.

There should be only 7 or 8 layers in the Playerpicbasefile. You open the other files and select the color part from the file and copy copy that layer in the Playerpicbasefile. That's how you build the template. Read the readme file for further instructions.

OK, I've been playing with this, trying to get an early 20th century 'sepia' look.
I've shortened the cap. Tell me if I'm getting the effect I'm looking for:
