BOSI for OOTP6

anyone know when BOSI is coming out for OOTP6?

As soon as it's been fully tested and found to be ready

Seriously though, we're getting close. All of the major functionality that we will be releasing is there. We just have to put it all together and clean it up.

Sorry, I won't say a date as I don't want to get yelled at if we miss it.

Functionality will include:

-- Front page with news submissions
-- Optimized importing, an initial import command to setup a new DB with 1 click, and better retirement logic
-- Improved team page showing just about everything you could ask for from the last sim on the front page.
-- Improved player page including new ratings and information from OOTP6
-- Draft utility that will also work for an initial draft with a snake order.

Functionality not included in the initial release:

-- Upgrade from v1 to v2. We still need about another week to fully test this script. Even after we release, we'll HIGHLY suggest backing up the DB before you fire it. This isn't an easy process and can go wrong in a lot of places. Once we're sure this is working, we'll get the central and official servers upgraded.
-- Trade utility. This will be in v2.01
-- Team page and player page will have a lot of links that go no where right now. For example, the stadium page isn't done yet for the team page and career pages aren't done yet for the player page. We'll be releasing those as fast as we can develop them.
-- Parsing the OOTP News page so those stories come up on the front page. We plan for that to be in .01 as well.

That's about it. The beta testers have the "final" cut of code (and have already logged a few bugs from it

), so we're getting close.

Hopefully, we can get BOSI as customizable as Nuke is. It won't be that way in v2.0. You can't even control block placement yet. However, that will change in a future version. Nuke's level of customability is our goal.
