Question non-FaceGen face generator?

Has anybody here considered creating a simplified face generator? 2D Maps, etc. Basically something that could add in templates for jerseys and caps (in the case of the advent of team colors) and would generate not-too-realistic-yet-distinctive faces for players.

I've been trying to find various programs that could be used for this, but everything is either cost-prohibitive (FaceGen) or too time consuming (MS Paint). Before I sit down and start coding for the next decade or so (most of which would involve getting the rust off my skills), it would be nice to know if you guys have or know of anything that might fit the need.

Well, the demo is very cheap, as in free.

The full version is $495.

If that's your definition of "cheap," feel free to send my any "spare change."

inaccurate

In these forums there was a link to a website with a random face generator which was very good. It was an Italian site, but it had an English version, and the faces it made were intended for a soccer game, but they were perfectly usable for OotP. I have done a couple of searches and haven’t found that old post, but it’s here somewhere. It was within the past year sometime. The site’s program did a great job of making random faces (with customizable settings).

I’ve looked for something like this, and the one I describe above is the best example of one that I’d ever been able to find.

But facepacks aren't worth it.

Sure, the faces look a little European, but here all you have to do is click on "Face Generator" on the left hand nav bar, and a new face comes up every time that can be right click saved as!!

Indeed. I saved the link when someone first mentioned it, figuring that that site would end up being useful for something sometime.

What, I can't express my opinion now?

That wasn't an opinion. You were flaming me and you and I both know it. Stop.

ADVANCE WARNING: This post is not intended to flame in any way shape or form.

Now . . . MD, do you have any brothers or sisters, especially of the older variety?

I'm the youngest of 3, and my parents were constatntly telling me just to ignore my siblings when they tried to bait me into an arguement . . . and it worked.

"Ignore it and it will go away" type thing.

Flmaing is flaming (unles you're taling about sexuality), it's juvenille, but still a lot of fun.
