And now my thread is gone ?!?!?!?!
I had important information in the thread. That would be nice to let me know before doing that. Last edited by PLG; 07-05-2004 at 10:13 AM. |

Ugg. I imagine this will push back the service time utility.

Henry, any word on getting the posts back? There was also a lot of service time editing info in there that I wanted to use.
EDIT: Pierre, seeing as how your magical utility to fix service times might prove to be too difficult to make or take awhile, do you think you could add the MLB days from your PYear.exe test program (you labeled it "Days Service") to your career editor? The reason why I ask is because of the problem: Quote:
This way, we might not get the great magical utility, but at least once we go through each and every player to fix the MLB service time with your career editor, we will not have to do it at the end of every season, just the once. Please?

As soon as will get the thread back (if we can) or as soon as someone can repost the information based on the display utility, I will take a look at it.
I wont add it to the career utility, I will create a one-shot utility instead. |

Ok, well maybe you'll reconsider adding it in time.

Does anyone still have the info saved so that we can get this thing ironed out once and for all? Pierre, do you still have the display utility info so that we can let you know what formula might work?

The small utility is at http://www.liguemtl.com/download/PYear.zip
I will also add information on the career editor like the salary and the MLB and Pro year service.

Pierre,
Is it even remotely possible to create a utility that would edit the salaries and possibly the team money numbers by basically deleting a couple of zeroes. That would let us play historical leagues with believable salaries/ticket prices, etc. |

I know that, but you have to do each player individually. How about a one button action that would take two zeroes off everyone's salary. |

Like a division variable ?
But again, when you will negociate salaries, players will come with the 00's. than running a utility like that a second time will mess the correct one. |

Was able to recover everything up to June 6th
Well, I got the posts up to June 6th, and they can be accessed through this link...
http://www.bigcitybaseball.com/backd...thread.php.htm I wasn't able to get the posts back into the forum but I believe it's all readable in the link above. I hope that helps, Henry Last edited by Henry; 07-15-2004 at 10:27 PM. |
