Query for graphic makers out there
Would anyone be willing to make a set of logos for a fictional league? I'm not talking about a few of them, I mean the entire league. I'm just wondering if there's anyone out there willing to do so. I'm thinking about opening a fictional league and I'd be looking for logos for the teams and maybe a few graphics for the site. I'd consider paying someone to do the work depending on the quality of the work. So is there anyone out there that would be interested? If you're wondering, I'd probably only need 16-20 team logos at most. I don't expect the league to be any bigger than that.

why not do wat Eugene did when he needed a BAGILLION logos. Anyone who wants can make one just post all the names up, or do u want all of them to be a specific style. I would be willing to make a few but i dont have the time to make 16-20

I would rather they all be made by one person because each person has their own style. I think it would look better to have all the logos with the same design/feel to them. It's nothing against the other graphic makers on here. I just don't want logos made by 5 different guys that don't have the same feel to them.

I have been very fortunate to have about 100 logos made for my leagues.
They were graciously provided by about 6-7 fine designers. And I got some superb work with quite a bit of variety. I always requested traditional logo...non-modern...and gave specific details including design and colors. The designers were very accommodating and even made alterations for me. I was lucky because the logos forum was really active with many designers. My first 80 were done in about 6 weeks. This was about 2 years ago. That is not the case now. It seems to take much longer to get them done. Several months ago I started a new fictional league with 20 teams. It took about a month to get them done. And that was quick. I was overjoyed with the speed and the logo designs. I got my best results when I posted my requests one at a time. When that one was done, then I would post another. Posting 20 at a time means some of the teams will be skipped because the designers have to check the whole thread. If there is only one request per thread, I feel they can quickly check that thread and see if it has been done or if they want to take a shot at it. I always include the logo name in the thread title. That seems to get the designers attention better. They know the team name and nickname. A vague term...logo needed...might not get them to look at the thread as quickly. That's how I got some beautiful logos. You can see them in the Eugene Church Collection...which should be called the "dbacks compilation"...because he did about half of them and posted them on a website. You can see them here: http://www.ootpdownloadcenter.com/logos.html Another great site for logos is here: http://www.thelogobank.net/ You might find some you can use there already produced. Good Luck. Hope to see your logos done soon. |

Well the reason I said I want one designer is because I want the whole league to have a certain feel to it. It's going to be a league based on prison baseball. All of the teams will be from a prison in the US with fictional inmates. So obviously they're going to need a certain feel and look to them.

there's no harm in trying.. but Jeremy, are you going to give out specific names for each team?

I'll have a list of team names when I get that far. I haven't even begun work on the backstory/concept of the league yet. I have to get some free time first to begin work on that. Once I do that I'll come up with the teams.
