Here's a tip.
Adding double stroke to text in two steps:
1. Type your text, go to Layer>Layer Style>Stroke and add a stroke of, say, 2. Leave the rest as default.
2. Duplicate the layer, go to Layer>Layer Style>Stroke, make the stroke thicker than 2 (say, 4) and choose a different color. Then send this layer backwards (Layer>Arrange).

That's all. Example below.

Ah yes, I did figure that out through trial and error ahwile back. Believe me, when I did, that opened a whole window of possibilities! Thanks though.

My main issue with fonts is remembering the names of them and finding the one I want that is close to what I picture. Sometimes I will make a logo an then someone will say "I like that, can you please change the city name from X to Y?" and I won't have a clue which font I used on the logo to begin with.

Sorry, didn't see this post before. One thing you can do is d/l a nifty utility called The Font Thing. Freeware that lets you see a sample text of all the fonts you have installed and insert notes (say, "used this for XX logo").
