Sugar Valley Rattlers logo needed
Sugar Valley is located the southeastern lowlands of Ruthlandia (named for Babe Ruth), a town of 40,000 situated on the banks of the Green River, which splits the country in half and runs from Upland (ski resort area) in the north (near the Appian Mountains), all the way south to Glasco (year round beach resort) on the Southern Sea. Sugar Valley is a lush farming region that specializes in sugar cane, rice and vegetable products. It is also home to the Sugar Valley Rattlers, a professional baseball team of the Federal Association, nicknamed for the ever-present canefield rattlesnakes.
Logo needed for the SUGAR VALLEY RATTLERS. DO IT YOUR OWN WAY...or use some of my suggestions. Here is a sample of a fine rattlesnake figure: (see Nevada Rattlers) http://www.logoserver.com/WSHL.html However, here IMO is a better color...dark brown, light brown, sand...prefer it to the red and black: (see Utah Rattlers for snake color) http://www.logoserver.com/NIFL.html Please use city and nickname...make them large enough to be easily seen on the game screens...150 x 150 size. Thanks for sharing your great talent with us. Whatever you design will be appreciated. Last edited by Eugene Church; 07-28-2004 at 08:58 PM. |

#1 is very creative...great idea to have a rattler down in a valley.
But #2 catches my eye quicker...it is a great rattler and shows up very well. If you don't mind, could you make the snake smaller...so that SUGAR VALLEY and RATTLERS can be increased in size and show up a little better on game screens. Create a diamond or a circle...place the snake inside on a White background. Make the background for the lettering Black...with SUGAR VALLEY in White letters...and RATTLERS in Red...no trim on either. Please center SUGAR VALLEY arched above the diamond or circle. Please center RATTLERS arched below the diamond or circle. Make RATTLERS right side up...so it is easier to read. If this takes too much time, on #2 just make RATTLERS right side up and center SUGAR VALLEY and RATTLERS. That would be fine. I intend to use this logo for quite some time as I play out all my league's games...that's why I am overly picky. Hope you don't mind the changes. I might be playing this league for years. Even if you do not make any changes, the original is fine, too. Thanks for your time, talent and creativity. Last edited by Eugene Church; 07-29-2004 at 01:02 PM. |

You are 100% correct. I am an ole picky !!!*******%%####!!****. Thanks you for being so polite. Sorry for being so picky. Your patience is commendable. I should have been called worse. You did a great job on the revisions. You did them perfectly. Both are very well done and are keepers. Thanks for the modern and traditional versions. I hope you understand, I have put a lot of work in this league...manually input balanced schedule complete with doubleheaders, photos, stadiums and now logos. That's why I want the logos to be so well done. I will be playing this league for years to come. I expect it to take one or two months to play a season. That's why I want them to be so good. PK: Both of yours are fine, too. Thanks for the two versions. Sorry for the delay in the reply...my internet service is on the blink. It took me 30 minutes to connect and post this...thank goodness it is a high speed connection.

No I don't mind at all glad to help out just joking around.
Sounds like a pretty good league you are starting up. I usually spend more time starting up a league then playing it, always coming up with a diffrent idea. |

Good, I am glad you were not offended by my "pickiness".
I have spent a lot of time designing leagues and have started over several times, mainly because the career stats were screwed up by improperly importing historical players. Once I solved this problem, I set up an Alltime Allstar League and two fictional leagues, complete with great logos, great stadiums and great photos. Now I intend to play these the rest of my days and continue to refine them to perfection. Hopefully, I will one day have a website like DreamTeams and Goody/Portlander, where they have created a fictional country, complete with baseball teams. If you have never visited their sites, you are really missing something. That why I have included a little history and geography about my fictional land of Ruthlandia. Hopefully it will inspire the logo designers to create the perfect logo for me. I need about 15 more logos and that will finish them up. I try not to monopolize the logo forum. I only post requests when all other requests for logos have been filled. My cup is overflowing with great logos, thanks to great guys like you, dbacks, scotto, nmleague, bigD4, pepeda, knuckler, Markmeiser, Shub, PrestonKaye, Sandstorm3, TrueCardinalFan and several others. My apology to any I miss. It will take several months to get them all, but I'm willing to wait. Their creations are worth it. I hope they will continue to put up with my pickiness.
