If you can use Photoshop it is really easy, the files deft has created makes it a real easy process. 90% of it is just duplicating layers onto a base file. The most time consuming part of the process is uniform design. It does take some time duplicating all those layers and deciding what to put where. But after you have the uniform done you can finish out a team like deft said in 2-3 min a player.
Also with the facegen demo you will have to take a little extra time to (I clone stamp) to rub out the SI logo that is imprinted on their forehead.

So...if I wanted to get a uni/hat designed for our teams, I could post here (or try it myself) and then apply it to the outer uni layer and the hat layer, right?
Yeah go ahead, or if you get into the deft's files and want to create your own uni's but would like a few random faces let me know and I could help you out.
I would suggest trying to do the uni's yourself if you can. For some reason I have a blast doing these it’s a lot of fun. That’s why I started this thread...to give me an excuse to do some more.

Cool. I'm gonna go play when I get home today, but there are 32 teams, so I've got my work cut out for me. I won't complain about help.

Thanks man!

I *love* this sub-forum. LOVE it!

I have a solo league that I started and I wanted to stick with this one, so I made faces for everyone on the 25 man roster and the best prospects. Saved all the faces seperatly so if anyone was traded they could change uniforms.. the whole works. (20 team league) I did this while watching baseball at night free time on the weekend and It took from mid june till about a week ago. Estimated time was about 2 to 2 1/2 hours a team(I did take my time and was sorta slow about it.)

It is pretty addicting, I have made over 500 pictures for the ATHL in the last year. Every team of the 24 teams has multiple templates for home and away.

Well, my poses are straight forward and focus on the face, so is it possible if I got your action file I could tweak it to work for mine? Or is that difficult if I don't know what I'm doing?

I did a little work of my own based on my team logo in the WHBL.

Logo and player photo are attached. How the hell do we link in images from other sites directly into the message?

Looks real good for first time. Put the player picture at a lower layer than the uniform so the undershirt covers the neck.

By the way the link in my signature has several of the new template files including glasses, jersey seams, and the photoshop action file I was talking about earlier.

I was wondering if you can make one player for each team in my fictional league. If you put a different face on each player then I can cut and paste the faces around to create a full roster for each team.

The logos can be downloaded at: http://newrepublic.silvergriffin.com/ootpctchome.html

Logo 1: Bridgeport Bandits
Logo 10: New Orleans Ravens
Logo 11: Springfield Atoms
Logo 12: Washington Admirals
Logo 13: Birmingham Barons
Logo 14: Daytona Beach Bluefish
Logo 15: Mississippi Critters
Logo 16: Savanah Stars
Logo 17: Columbia Mules
Logo 18: Eureka Express
Logo 19: Olympia Dragons
Logo 2: Montreal Blue Wave
Logo 20: Regina Pride
Logo 21: Honuapo Volcanoes
Logo 22: Phoenix Aeros
Logo 23: Reno Rebels
Logo 24: Santa Barbara Quakes
Logo 25: Duluth Dukes
Logo 26: Odessa Jackalopes
Logo 27: Salt Lake City River Cats
Logo 28: Wichita Warriors
Logo 29: Knoxville Knights
Logo 3: Portland Wolfpack
Logo 30: Las Vegas Silverwings
Logo 31: St. Louis Blues
Logo 32: Texas Two Baggers
Logo 4: Worcester Griffins
Logo 5: Joilet Jackhammers
Logo 6: Manhattan Bay Owls
Logo 7: Pittsburgh Pioneers
Logo 8: South Bend Jethawks
Logo 9: Little Rock Locomotives

Regina Pride use Gold and Purple as its colors
New Orleans Ravens use Red and Black as its colors
Knoxville Knights use Purple and Green as its colors
Birmingham Barons use Red and White with grey pinstripes

For the rest of the teams just use the colors from the logos and feel free to get creative with them.

Thanks in advance for these.

Alinkens, This might take some time. Making the uniforms take the majority of the time. Once they are done inserting the faces can go pretty quick. I will leave the faces fairly generic so the can be a little more interchandeable, no facial hair or any weird looking faces.

This statement reminds me of my wife making so much fun of me for "playing with dolls" when it comes to creating unis, or creating a player in ITP, or whatever. It's even worse with the console games like ASB and such.
