My leaguemates hate my logos. Will you help?

See, I'm a fan of 70's and early 80's style logo. When I designed my first logo for the Pierrefonds Liberté, my team in Beta Baseball, my logo was made fun of. See for yourself.

Now, recently I unveiled another logo.... but I realized it was far worse than the original one. Again, see the horror.

Now, what I'm asking for is this: is there a person nice enough to re-work on my logo, making it look not so bad?

My specs are the following:
  • I'd like to keep the green and yellow-orange theme, although you can improve upon the hideous shades of the first logo and the suntan-cream orange of the second.
  • I'd like to keep the "P".
  • Please stay in 70's or 80's context
  • Nothing too complex, simplicity is wanted.

Anyway, if anyone is up for it, my leaguemates and I would be very happy if anyone was up for it.

Thanks in advance to anyone who is wilto help

I agree that those two logos scream "Paintbrush!" ...

but I don't think the guy who owns Lennongrad should throw any stones. At least your logos didn't have any jaggies!

Bah! Who cares if your leaguemates don't like your logo! It's your team, and you should have a logo that YOU like! For the record, I kinda like your "horror" logo myself. I'm not too hip on the trend in sports today to jazz up the uniforms and logos. I'm somewhat of a traditionalist and tend to dislike all of these changes that teams are making to make themselves more "marketable".

Really like these, shows no signs of rust

The writing is a bit hard to read, but I dig!

I don't know if a yellow background (like in my versions) would enhance the quality of the retro logos, or simply ruin them.

In my "experience", logos from the time period usually had white backgrounds.. not always, of course, but I think it was more common to use white.. I could be totally wrong, but that's the way I remember it.. But.. How's this...

Yeah, the white was better... your first one was the bomb, other than the small letters.

Thanks for the work
