Cato 6.1.4 Error

During the "Create HTML Pages" phase I am getting the following error while the individual players are processing:

Error -2147217913 Data Type Mismatch in Criteria Expression has occured

This is the first season using 6.1.4 and the other seasons are all under the 6.1.3 version.

Is there something I need to be doing to make this work? Must I rerun the other seasons under the new version? After the error message appears I can click "ok" and the process continues for several players and then I get the error again.

Doc

I got the same error, and it was because I had added a line to my postseason MVPs histories. Catobase gets the championships won by reading "Won WhateverName Series with SoAndSo in 19xx", but it saw "Won WhateverName Series MVP in 19xx" and got confused.

If this is the problem, the bad news is that Catobase imports the history year by year, so you'll have to re-import the past seasons to fix it.

I have never gotten this error prior to using 6.1.4 version. I do have ALOT of custom information in the player histories but I have not added anything in terms of MVPs, world series winners, etc. Thanks for your input and hopefully Jcato will know the answer.

I don't have the answer, but it is probably something along those lines. You can zip up your data files and I'll probably need your p###.txt files, too, and send them to me and I'll take a look.

I believe the problem is that I manually entered information into the Player's history file such as World Series won, etc and Catobase is having trouble reading since I did not word it exactly like the game does. But on the upside is that the program still works, you just have to click OK after the error is reported. I am going to "reword" the World Series won statements in the Player History files and see what happens!

I'm getting this error for the first time after 33 seasons, the first time I've used 6.14. I think it might have something to do with World Series MVPs which I add manually to the player histories.

Was anything ever discovered on this one?

So yeah, it's probably your World Series MVPs that are the problem.
