Help with editing the "menu.html" page

Just wondering why it is that whenever I edit the "menu html" page created when generating reports, and then upload my new menu.html, the links don't work the same way.

For example, usually when you click on "L1 Leaders" in the standard menu bar, the large area to the right (where the standings are broken down) switches to the L1 leaders page.

All I changed in the "menu.html" page was the names of the categories. For example I entered the actual league abbreviations in the place of L1 and L2, I changed "Top Systems" to "Farm Systems" etc . . . none of this altered the destination of the link when I checked the hyperlink or the size of the cells where the names was entered.

I edit the menu.html page using Microsoft Word because I don't have Front Page (well, I do, but computer issues after a reformat meant that for some reason my machine didn't unzip the folder wherever it had Front Page stored).

Any ideas?

It sounds like the frame information is getting deleted or changed when you are editing the text. Are you positive you aren't changing anything else but the name?

Yes, I'm sure I'm not, but I sometimes (ONLY after I accidently click one of the links while editing and upon returning to the document in Word) get a message saying something like this document contains tables that are too complex to represent.

I am trying to take the "Financial Report" link out, because my league doesn't use finances, I'll try it leaving the financial report link in place and see what happens. (EDIT: That didn't solve it).

But maybe the act of just opening it in Word is changing something?

Literally all I did was change L1 Leaders to FC Leaders and L2 Leaders to CC Leaders, and I replaced "League" in League Batting, League Pitching and League Fielding with "AABF" (the acronym of my league).

Try using a plain text editor like notepad which comes with Windows, I've used it with no problems in the past.

AHHHHH!!!!

Very good daniel-san!!

I opened up my FTP Program (cute FTP) located "menu.html" on my computer's HD, right clicked on it and selected "view".

That opened it up in Notepad, and from there it was just a matter of altering the titles I wanted altered, saving it, then uploading it to the site . . . it worked fine.

Thank you!
