? on Schedule Generator (Stickware)
I have a question on the Schedule Generator Stickware 4.1 Schedule maker.
1. Has anyone used this add-on? 2. How does it work? (great, good, bad, don't use it) 3. When you download it, where in OOTP do you download it to? Thank you for any help you can give me on this. |

The Stickware Generator is one of the best tools for the OOTP line. The program goes into its own folder, what I did was create a folder in my program files directory called OOTPTools and put it there.
When you load it, you will see an browse for league option on the upper left of the screen, just point that to your league and it will populate the team names. For better schedule accuracy you should fill in the timezones for each team. This program also has the option to do only day games. The only trick to this program is if you are playing with 4 divisions. If you are drop me a line and I will go through that with you.

alinkens,
Thank you very much for the help. I will try this today when I get home. I am running the fictional league with the 30 teams in 2 leagues and 3 divisions (just like in the Majors) Thank you again for the help. |

I agree, I think it is a great tool. Makes much better schedules than the game. Plus Stickware can create schedules with an odd number of teams.
My beef with it is it doesn't have the ability to create schedules that are heavy to divisional games at the end of the season. The last season I played, my team's last 31 games were against NON-Divisional teams. I'm also guessing that whoever developed it has moved on and isn't creating any future updates. I'm thinking that it will no longer work with next year's version.

Check out this thread Look here for schedules to import into OOTP6 for lots of ready to import into OOTP schedule files. Some of the actual schedules for MLB from a few of its 30 team years are in the thread somewhere.

I'm running a current MLB league right now, and I switch off between the one MLB non-interleague schedule and a stickware schedule. Both work great, so thanks to everyone involved with both.
