Logo etiquette?
Do people who create the logos and the people who request them have any qualms regarding other OOTPers using their logos?
Fic leagues? On-line leagues?

I have posted about 3 or 4 dozen logos here to fulfill requests. I assume that other people will see them and if they like them, they will use them in their own leagues (personal or online). I have no problem with that and I expect it. If someone wants to make a logo for the requester's use only, they should email it rather than post it.

I've stopped posting the few logos I did make because people were taking them and using / reposting as their own.
I would think the proper etiquette would be to ask permission before using in an online league, but I don't see any problem using in a solo league.

If it's a requested logo, then the person creating it knows it will be used by others. Logo sets are a little different, but not much if they are freely made available. If you are talking about logos that you've seen on an online league site, then it could be that those logos were made just for that league. The safest bet is just to ask the logo maker if you can figure out who that is.

Thanks for the opinions. I got kind of peeved when an online league used a logo created for my fic league. I didn't create it, so I guess I can't complain.
I did pay for a logo that i use in an online league, so that would give me a legitimate gripe, but I won't blame anyone for using one of the many sexy logos I have had created for my league.
