catobase quirk

This is a strange one. I have one player who shows up as having two championships in the same year. The same year is listed twice and he gets credit for two championships from the same year. Any ideas how to fix this?

Did you add any lines to the player's history?

Yes, he was the post season MVP but I have two other players who were post season MVPs and they don't show up twice in the years they won.

It's strange that it's just the one guy, but "irregardless" I suspect that's the culprit. If the championship name is in your postseason MVP award name, Catobase gets confused.

It is best to not manually add anything to the player histories if you are going to use Catobase. And if you are going to select a Post Season MVP just go into the Awards section of Catobase and you can easily select one without having to add it to the player history.

Best of luck!

So if I rerun catobase for all the years at the end of the season will it recognize any changes I make to the history file...i.e.restoring the original file...and fix the championship situation? I'll be ending my 4th season coming up and the mistake is from the 2nd season of my league. Its not a big deal I'm just picky.

Unfortunately not. Catobase only reads history lines for the year it is importing, so to change past season's histories, you have to reimport.

(At least, that's what I had to do to fix my postseason award / history snafu.)
