Obscure logo request...

So...I play toccer, which is a weird, but super awesome amalgam of a sport that has elements of football, soccer, tennis, lacrosse and even hockey - but its certainly its own unique sport.

Anyway, I go off the deep end and start to speculate what a team logo would look like. I mean, I can make wordmarks easily, but I've never been able to design a real "logo" and so...I can't even begin to make something.

Though TeamTennis Logos probably come the closest to what I'd expect, I'd love to see like something incorporating a goal and the racquet a tennis ball and the racquet to signify that it's toccer rather than just a tennis team with a jazzy logo.

Anyone interested in this obscure, but perhaps mildly interesting project?

Please?

thanks a lot for even bothering. i appreciate it!

I need to figure out how better to integrate pictures into photoshop because I'd really love to be able to design logos. I can make wordmarks with no problems, but logos are hard for me.

I don't know about you but I find Paint Shop Pro easier to use when it comes to pasting together pictures from different sources. For example, my banner attemp for Mester13 consisted of three elements. I wouldn't have been able to replicate that with Photoshop. Here's what part of it looked like before rotating and being trimmed down (had to shrink it to post though).

Just a small comment, but if you look close at many sports team logos you'll see they don't really have that photo-realistic look that often comes from doing the task in Photoshop (or similiar app), but are really just straight artwork likely done in a vector drawing program like CorelDraw or Illustrator.

So to do logos it is not a requirement to learn an image-editing program like Photoshop. If you're at all familiar with drawing programs, you can use those quite successfully to do logos.

Just something else to consider...

That's really good to know. Thanks for the info, because I didn't know that. I can't draw very well though..so I dunno how much good it'd be for me. But I'm really interested in doing them, so we'll see.
