An idea for a new utility...
I like the idea of CATOBASE and the Exporter program but I thought it would be REAL COOL
if someone could create a program that took the output of the exporter or CATOBASE tables and imported them into the format needed to import into game (LAHMAN format??) I know that someone with DB experience could easily do this and think that it would add a lot to the game. I wanted this to take teams from various career leagues and have a replay with previous played fictional years......my own historical replay - but with my OOTP fictional players...

EdGien's post notwithstanding, I think this is an intriguing idea.

If you can import midseason, then it would be an incredible idea. Correct me if I'm wrong, but it strikes me as such:
If I, as a commish, could export usable, midseason stats and info, I can change the data (including, say, transactions? Lineups? Depth charts?), whether in CSV or SQL/Access/MySQL format, and then use this new utility to re-import it into a league file. This would automate 95% of the commish's work in online leagues. So the question is, can you import midseason? |
