Retrosheet Schedule Converter

I've been on a roll of late...and I put together a little app that converts the Retrosheet schedules into OOTP6 schedules. The output is very bare-bones, but it imports successfully.

Now if I could just get off my arse and get back to working on proofing the MLB schedules so I could get more of them posted to Retrosheet. That, and getting corrected the ones which are already there but have a few mistakes in them...

Which season are you trying to do? I'll see if I can duplicate the problem.

Great work, dude. I was doing this in Excel before and this saves a lot of hassle.

The problem has been identified and corrected.

The download on my web site has been updated.

For those of you who already have the utility, unzip the attached file into "c:\program files\retrosheet schedule converter" (or wherever you installed the thing), overwriting the existing "schedule.kix" file.
Attached Files
File Type: zip schedule.zip (3.3 KB, 30 views)

Thanks for the quick fix. I don't know when I'll get to it but I'll check it out.

There are now OOTP-format schedule files available for MLB seasons, currently covering 1901-1940. A new decade will be added every couple of days.

These files supersede those available at Retrosheet, because it turns out there are a handful of seasons there which contain some errors. I just haven't had the time yet to document those up properly so that the files can be corrected there. It will get done eventually... but for now, the OOTP-compatible files available here are the most up-to-date.

The Retrosheet converter however is still a great utility to have available.

LOL, no, not even a little. Actually, I'm kind of annoyed at myself for not having gotten back to getting the files properly done up for Retrosheet. There hasn't been anything new put on there since the first batch were debuted on the site back in April. It's just that the documenation process is tedious so I'm trying to avoid it as much as possible.

But I really do need to get back to that so I can get it done right...
