Can the vets here give me some tips about making logos? I would appreciate the help a lot, guys. I just want to get better at helping people enhance this amazing game.

I think one of the most important things is the graphics software you use to create logos. If all you have is Microsoft Paint you will be very limited with what you can do. There are a number of good graphics programs. Photo Shop is excellent but expensive, Paint Shop Pro is by the same company, basically less a vigorous program than Photo Shop but will all the tools you would need, at a fraction of the price. There are also Corel and others.
If you have a good graphics program you can work in layers and will have great tools like color replacement and fills, 3d effects like beveling and shadowing and textures. If you have any specific questions I would be happy to help you. You may have seen some of my logos, and if there are any questions you have of how I have done something let me know. I have now used Paint Shop Pro for about 5-6 years and continue to learn more about its features each time I use it, and I remember when first using it how the use of layers and the multiple tools was a mystery. There are many more people here that are skilled artists with art training that can probably give you many ideas and techniques.

I'd suggest downloading lots of real-world logos and looking them over closely with an eye towards their design, layout, and style. You can get plenty of good ideas this way, and helps in figuring out what you like and don't like, and what design styles you may want to use.

Also take a look at the different places and ways OOTP displays logos. For example, a logo with a lot of detail or color gradations might not show up well on the player page where it shrinks to fit but will look great in the almanac.
Also know that true black (RGB 0,0,0) is treated as transparent in OOTP. |
