Past Seasons in Catobase?

I am new to using Catobase and I set it up correctly I believe, but when I went to import the stats I was told that the season wasn't finished. So..after doing a search of the forums, I realized that I have to run cato before I hit proceed to next season.

Does this mean that I will not be able to go back and import old seasons? Or, will it automatically create a database using current and retired players stats? Meaning automatically recreating the career leaders, etc.

I really am anxious to use the program, but I am hope I didnt screw up and not start using it the first 25 seasons of my league..

Thanks, I tried to do a search but couldnt find a definatel answer.

Make copies of your file at the end of each season man, then you can redo the hole thing whenever you want, its real easy with the new version

Unless you have a backup of your league data files from each year's end-of-season (just before you Press The Button to 'Proceed to Next Year'), there's no way to get previous year's stats into Catobase... sorry.

Well I finished the import of my 26th season, the first into catobase.

It's awesome!!

Man what a great utility. Why can't OOTP have this kind of functionality?

Anyway, I do have an additional question. If I wanted to sim a few seasons overnight, is there any possible way for me to set something up that I can import automatically? Or even save the OOTP file automatically somewhere?

Or do I have to be present at the end of each season to import stats?

Thanks a lot.

Nope. You have to export after each season manually. I posted a thread about this less than a week ago, in fact.

Bah! Oh well.

Yes youre thread hits the nail on the head in regards to being able to do this. Or all this extra goodness that Cato brings to the table can just be imported into the game.

Well...add another person to the list of people who simmed 20 or so seasons only to realize that I had to use Cato after each of those seasons but did not...LOL

Very helpful to find this thread...I had a feeling that there would be no way to recover those previous 19 seasons into Cato, but wanted to know for sure. This thread has solved that for me.

Catobase is truly a wonderful thing...it has me considering running an extra 20 years of sim to my league before taking over a team just so that Cato will have 20+ years of history in it before I begin.
