Question re Malleus Dei's name file

Can I add names to the file without corrupting it? This file creates more plausible names than the sometimes strange sounding ones the game produces, but I would like to add some latin names into the mix.

You could add names to the file if you wanted. The format is pretty straight-forward... I don't remember if the files start with a index number to tell OOTP how many names are in the file, but if it does, make sure you change that.

However, if you just want a few Latin names, I think the easiest way would be to "reinstall" the original Latin name files. Then you know that they'll work, and you'll get the "normal" distribution of Latin names.

Yep, just add names to your heart's content.
Add a number at the end to correspond with how often you'd like it to pop up in the game. However, if you want the Latin names to match up to Latin birthplaces, the best bet is to use the default name files and edit those to your liking. I changed the frequency of Mike and Chris to be much higher and changed Michael and Christopher to be much less, for example.
