Finally used Originator

Well, Originsonly - it's close kin. Nice, nice work there. I'm one of those guys that always shudders a bit when trying out anything new, particularly when it comes to programs that affect my programs/games/etc. Always figure I am going to screw something up and all will never be right with the world again.

But . . . a couple of comments drove me to check this out and am I ever glad I did.

It may not seem like much to some on the surface, but for those fictional folks who are looking to add a little more depth to the detail of your players, this is worth its weight in . . . well . . . data bits. Can't tell you how much it prompts me to explore a bit more into the characters and finding unique combinations and surprises.

There's a big slammer on an opposing team who's hit about 40+ HR for the last 5 years with 59 (I think) last season nicknamed "Showtime" Miranda. I was, of course, curious about him after I was encouraged to go check the roster changes. Funny how simple icons on a screen affect you, but I have always perceived this guy as a real media hog and a celebrity's celebrity who enjoys every minute of the attention that's been spent upon him. Anyway... when I locate him, he's from where else? New York, NY.

Not that I'm knockin' anyone out there mind you, it just seemed to fit into my already idealized OOTP impressions of him. I can't even remember now where he was originally assigned. This one just fits.

Great addition. Heck, I may even try Catobase and the end of this season given that went so well.

Catobase rules! Just make sure you remember to run it every year, or backup your seasons.

I still love Ryan's Util for OOTP4. It took the data from the HTML output and generated Catobase type pages just from that. Was great to sim multiple seasons and just feed it to it.

So many marvelous toys for OOTP...
