Inside hair.zip is hair-sm.rar

If you cannot un-rar this file email me and I will email you the zip. The ZIP without RAR is 106k and they only allow 100k limit on files per post. RAR made it 99k so it fits.

Talking

Well I was hoping when Bobble finished this it would have a lot of hair options. I must give a hugh thanks to Bobble because this has more than I thought it would. Just tons of hair options. Big thanks to alinkens for hosting these.

First use. Even though the Elvis sideburns where tempting. I went with the right part and the abe lincoln beard.

Great work on the hair Bobble...and thanks for sharing it...

I've been working on something tonight (see image below)
Its so all I have to do is right-click on the hair on one of the heads...then, I can choose the layer for that specific hair-piece right there on the screen...it also lets me see all of my choices right there in front of me without having to turn all of the layers off and on along the way.

Additionally, I've "locked" the positions of each of the heads (and the hair to which I've also linked the corresponding head) so that they won't accidentally be moved around.

Then, once I've selected a bit of hair, I can copy the layer and put it on a player.

Another thing I'm doing for myself is an 'auto-hair-positioner'....I am going to do a photoshop automation such that all I will have to do is:
1. make my hair selection through the right click method described above...
and then,
2. press "Ctrl+F4" and the hair layer I've chosen will automatically be placed on the player's head (in the window that has the player in it) in the correct position.

Anyway, I'm setting all that up tonight for myself.
But, if Bobble doesn't mind I will make my version (and I didn't do too much, its just that its a bit repetitious to set it up) available for download...
but, as Bobble is the one who did the hair I will wait to make sure it is ok with him before I make it available.

CORRECTION TO LAST POST:

It turns out that my idea about the "Ctrl + F4" auto-positioning of the hair-piece doesn't work. So, if one were to use the above method of viewing the entire array of heads and hair, then the hair would (as far as I know at this time) need to be positioned on the player's head once copied into that window.

Actually, I finally did think of a way of doing the auto-hair-positioning thing, but it would involve having to re-do the entire array of heads with their hair in order to set it up and I'm not that ambitious.

I hope the hair stuff works out for everyone. Just a couple of thoughts:

I only did a blonde and brown in most of them. You can decrease the brightness (or any of several other techniques) on the brown to get black. Don't go all the way to pitch black. Still leave some "highlights". You can also lighten or darken either blonde or brown for a dirty blond or lighter blonde or a sandy brown .... whatever. You might also get strawberry blond by shifting the color of a blonde layer toward the red.

A few of the layers are "paired". The front stuff goes in front of the head and the behind stuff goes behind. That's why some of the layers look goofy on their own.

Don't be afraid to mix and match other layers if it looks right.

You'll probably have to move, shift, and rotate some of the stuff around to get it to fit your particular face.

A few more things:

I find it useful to use the smudge tool to kind of "smush" things into position. If, say, a beard isn't quite wide enough for the face, you can use the smudge tool to smudge it a little wider. Gives the beard a little different look so everyone's Lincoln beard isn't exactly the same. Same technique works wonders for some of the hair styles. You can smudge them a little more strait or a little more curly or a little narrower behind the head and you get a significantly different look.

I plan to do more stuff for the fro's and dreads but it isn't going well. If/when I do get something, I'll post it.

Any suggestions or questions, just post 'em.
