Stats needed for import?

I have created and modified several versions of the Lahman database for importing into OOTP. I have always used ALL of the fields for fear of messing up the import.

Does anyone know exactly what stats are required to import from each csv file, specifically, batting, pitching, and fielding?

Does OOTP use all of that information? Do things like RBIs, Runs, etc. factor into ratings or just stats like hits, extra base hits, homers that seem to directly impact ratings?
In other words, if I were to add a "fake" player to the Lahman database, what fields would I have to include in order for a player to import properly?
