Historical Challenge - Logos of Myth

Ok, I have an idea for a league. It's gonna be a clash of civilizations, with different cultures being every team, and their players being their greats throughout history. Their scrubs will be culled from random history books and whatnot. So, I don't have team names, just cultures. Logo makers, I would be indebted forever if you took up your smithees and helped me out. Cultures I can think of so far (please add in other cultures you can think of):

Russia
France
Japan
China
America
Germany
England
Rome/Italy
Greece
Egypt
Arabia
Spain
India
Vikings/Norse/Scandinavia
Native Americans (Indians)
Middle Earth (I couldn't think of a 16th, so I use Tolkien for now)

Thats the 16 team league I can think of. Logos would be amazing, trying to capture the essence of each culture. I'm thinking of making this a dynasty, and if done right could be really really cool. If you can think of any better cultures, please add them in!

Cool. Without sounding like a jackass or ungrateful, I was thinking more..."classic" and rich and not as animated, not as cartoony. I guess I shouldn't complain, since I have 0 artistic skills, but you asked.

Yeah, there's only one way to find out what you want. What I would suggest is googling for images that are close to what you want and sharing them. That'd be the best way to point people in the right direction.

Yes, I suppose your right. Ok, here is one example of the type of tone I was thinking for in these logos. Like, for America, this kind of resonance:

Doesn't have to be these pictures, but its the power and tone I'm going for. These are logos representing cultures, power, and history. That's what I'm kinda looking for.

I first considered calling them the Reds. Woulda been in keeping with our baseball heritage and their culture. However, I decided to just stay within the Russian culture and gave them a most fitting name...The Proletariats.

I wonder if throwing an ankh symbol, or a sarcophogus face on that Egypt one wouldn't add to the tone. Just an idea.

Fastlane that Russian Proletariats logo is absolutely stunning. I especially love the usage of cyrillic lettering

I was going to try to put the ghost image of figure like this one over the preceedng Egypt logo, but it didnt look to good so decided to do another logo possibility.

I am a sucker for sunsets, golds, reds, oranges...I really like the first Egypt logo....all the other are good, too.
