Help with a banner...

I'm struggling with ideas for a banner for a league that is in 1947 at the moment. Some ideas I had were to use the facade at Yankee Stadium for part of it(see attachment) or to go with something that has the feel or resembles the throwback themed logos that many of the new stadiums are using. I'll see if I can dig something like that up. A few of the outstanding players in the league, in case anyone wants to give this a whirl, are Ted Williams, Early Wynn, Charlie Keller, Josh Gibson, and Ralph Kiner.

I can't seem to find anything that would have the feel of what I am talking about at the moment. I do have a pic that could be used to create a logo for the league that could be used on the banner. The name of the league is the All-American Professional Baseball League. If it's easier to get on a banner, just eliminate the professional.

Ok, this is kind of what I was looking for. Something that has this feel to it.

http://www.logoshak.com/~asgsport/im...s_Redbirds.gif

750 X 73 is the size needed. I'd like dark green to be one of the primary colors. Kind of like you see with the Camden Yards and Coors Field logos.

I'll see if I can create a logo for the league using the above photo.

Thanks in advance.

Here are a couple of logos I worked up. I wish tat I could get the guy to stand out a bit more on the one with the stiches. I have them saved as BMP as wel if that would help any.
