Honestly, im not sure....ill have to wait until i get home to check on it....well assuming the csv files are messed up, is there anything i can do to fix them. i cant believe this is hard like this, i sure hope its just me and this is really easy

By the way very nice web site, i just checked that out right now, very nice....im goign to go signup for it later today....anyway, im going to be putting access on my computer later today so hopefully if theres an issue with the csv file i can work on it in there...have you seen this issue before with people with the type mismatch?

Yes, type mismatch is common. Its in the CSV files which are just text. You can work with them through a decent text (i.e. not notepad).
Once you find out what is causing it, you want to make the fix in your league file so you don't get the bad data anymore. Otherwise you would have to make edits to your CSV files after every season before you do the CATO processing. CATO is very great, but very fragile. A quick search of this forum will show you that your are only one of many having difficulties.

Thanks alot dave, how often do you go on here to check the posts....cause when i go home i was giong to check to see when the problem is happening....is there an email i can email you to with the problem once i find out where it happpens? Also can i use access to edit the csv files?

No Access if for the database file. You can go to download.com or something and find a text editor relatively easily. Look for text editors and find a free one that is popular, it will likely be a good choice.
Remember once you find what is wrong, you may not even need to bother with a text editor. When you know what CSV file is causing you the problem just upload it somewhere and post a link to it. There are a lot more than I that can help you and some of them have quite a gift in finding the problem in the CSV really fast. |

I have a question and hopefully someone will know the answer.....i imported a lahman season for the year of 2004.....everything went smoothly but the managers didnt load....i downloaded the manager file before the import to....is it because of the lahman season that it wont work or did i forget something?
