Creating a complete set of new players

I have an idea for a fictional league that I want to create and I want to create the players myself - all details from names and ages to ratings. It will be a replay league with no history so there will be no stats to include.

Is there a utility that will allow me to create players in Excel and upload one csv file rather than create and edit players in the game itself which would take forever (I've got about 200 players to create!!).

I've searched these boards and been to other sites but haven't found anything. I may have missed an existing tool somewhere but just can't see it.

Any ideas??

The game itself can actually do this.

Go to League Setup, then the Misc Setup tab. On the bottom left of the window will be a section "CSV Import/Export Functions." Export the Player Ratings and Player General Info. They will appear in your league's folder as CSV files. Open them up with Excel and then use Import when you're done tinkering.

The league I have created has no players to export? Am I going to have to create a league with players first as you suggest?
