Logo Designers: First Logo Will Be Posted Tomorrow (saturday)

The Logo City/Nickname Selection Committee will post the first logo to be created Saturday Morning (Central Standard Time...USA).

You will have 4 days to create it.

DEADLINE TO SUBMIT YOUR LOGO: 11:59 PM CST TUESDAY
For the time zone challenged, Midnight Central Time on Tuesday is:
(COMPLIMENTS OF THE TIMELESS WONDER, LE GRANDE ORANGE)
10 p.m. Pacific on Tuesday
11 p.m. Mountain on Tuesday
Midnight Central on Tuesday
1 a.m. Eastern on Wednesday
2 a.m. Atlantic on Wednesday
6 a.m. GMT on Wednesday

Wednesday all entries will be posted in a thread and a poll will be taken.

The top choice will be the "Favorite Logo" and be included in a "Favorite Logo Compilation" and posted for download on JoeRock's and BigCity's site...and maybe enuttage great logo gallery, too.

All entries will be included in the "Special Logo Compilation" and posted for on the download sites, too.

It is our goal to come up with at least 20 great fictional logos in the first project...hopefullly we will get many fine versions for each city/nickname selected for use by the OOTPB Community. It is also our goal to create new and original Major League logos as the next project.

Each project could take about 5 months each.

Only serious entries will be included in the polls.

SO, GENTLEMEN, START YOUR CREATIVE AND INSPIRATIONAL JUICES.

THE RACE WILL SOON BE ON.

Oh no! That soon? I'm going to have to get my butt in gear... or at least, into third or fourth. But it seems stuck in first these days...

Question though: who are we submitting our logos to for posting? We do this via e-mail to that person I presume?

I had offered to do the polls in the the other thread, so if the committee agrees, I'll provide an email address for the contest.

I think this is a great way to do it, with the weekend, more people will have the time to complete their designs and vote during the week, and start again from weekends. Great setup guys.

jnshmoo, that would be fine. EC and I had not worked that part out completely. If you have the ability to collect and post them in jpg form in a timely manner (when the creation portion f the contest ends), I'd love to have your help.

Yep. I can let everyone submit them in whatever format or size they want and I'll resize them to OOTP size and make them jpg format for posting on the board.

I suppose that people could also submit the logos to me in a PM here as well.

I will post the first city and nickname at midnight tonite...and you will have until Tuesday at midnight to e-mail it to jnshmoo.
The vote will be taken for two days, Wednesday and Thursday and the "Favorite" will be announced on Friday...then we will post the second logo to be done on Saturday...and repeat the process until we get 20 very special logos for the OOTPB Community.

Designers should delete "spaces" and add the correct symbol for "at" when they e-mail their entry in.

This will cut down on spam.

Technically, I thought Midnight was considered part of the next day, which would make the Central time Midnight on Wednesday. Anyway, this is why I always prefer to use either 11:59 p.m. or 12:01 a.m. Either of these avoid the potential confusion of whether midnight is part of the previous day or the subsequent day.
