Catobase Problems with new halofan roster set???

Anyone out there know if there getting problems with catobase with the new offseason roster set from halofan....i cant seem to get past the type mismatch error when it reaches washingtons new team....anyone out there please help....i know dave is trying to help, but someone else out there please help

I take it that you are using CATOBASE after the season is played and getting this error. Check your CSV files that were created with the exporter and make sure that there are no Pitchers with 0 IP but have ERs. I have had this problem in the past. This also may occur if batters have 0 at bats but I have not had this problem. In short there is a DIV by ZERO problem and the only place I can see this happening is in the pitching file. If that is the error simply change the pitching record to have .33 in the IP and subtract .33 IP from another scrub pitcher. You will need to rerun the export by deleting the current records from the Database (option in CATOBASE), rerun the export. This option will not work though if you hit the proceed to next season within OOTP.

You could also change the CSV file then using MS ACCESS change the pitching record in the CATOBASE MDB file and then just rerun the create HTML option.

i think this is just a catobas issue cause i have come in contact with that stuff with numerous roster sets to include OOTP generated rosters

when you say quotes, you mean in the guys names???? like there nicknames??

Yes, quotes in nicknames or in any other data fields will caused it to blow chunks real fast.

yes that can cause problems as Dave stated but she was more or less referring to the minor league team names that have periods in them as her biggest pain in the a$$

In the Cato Readme for 6.1.4 it emphasizes that no double quotes be included (") and that the single quotes - apostrophes - are removed.
