All of the logos are very good. I liked 8 the best in the end.

I will include your request in all the announcements. If I were entering a logo, I would do it at least by the day before the deadline...I wouldn't run the risk of it not getting in. And I would make sure I got confirmation of its receipt. A word to the wise...don't cut it too close...and get confirmation. |

2, 6, 8, 9 are my favorites. On 6 though, I would have gone a darker color of brown instead of that brighter gold. If that had been done, I think it would have got my vote.
That leaves 2, 8, 9 and 9 I'll eliminate for the same reasoning of it just seeming a bit too bright for my image of San Antonio. Honestly, I think I have to go with #2, but it's a close one. |

So very tough to call............... One must also ponder why the forum limits the poll to the maximum of 12 entries.
Is the new forum sofware suppose to be more capable? Anyway, great entries for both poll#1 and poll#2.

Interesting... this poll is pretty much a landslide, while the other poll is in a tight two-way race. Who'd have thought that logo political voting would be so intriguing?
![]() Anyway, so what's the criteria for deciding who gets to the final, run-off poll?

There are a number of logos here and in the other poll that really are excellent work. But #8.. Wow. It's one of the best logos I've seen anywhere. I love the gunfighter with the sombrero wrapped in the flag flying in the wind with gunshots through it. The thing about it that really got me though was how he incorporated both color schemes, the Mexican and the American. To just have American colors for the "Tejanos" seems to be missing the mark, yet to just have Spanish is a bit predictable. To weave them both in there so perfectly is brilliant.

All great logos again, but I went with 8 and like a few others I think I know who did it. It was a close thing with 9 and 6 running it close but what got my vote was the flag and bullet holes but like I said all of them are great great work guys.

The only reason I went with number 2 over number 8 is because nothing in number 8 says Baseball to me. In number 2 the creator made the baseball shaped like Texas. That is just awesome.

The way things went in these polls, I think next time I'm going to try multiple choice in the first round. That way, everyone can vote for the three or four that they really like in the first round and we'll get more entries into the finals. I am also adding one Wild Card logo to the final poll today that was left out of the first round due to some sort of email glitch.

I think logos just as art is something that is based on the eye of the beholder, who's to say what is the correct definition of a logo or a baseball logo for that fact. I think as a voter, one should vote for the logo they would most likely to use if he or she had a team named XXX. Just because one person has a certain preference, it doesn't and shouldn't mean that everyone else should throw away and abandon their own beliefs.
If there was a definite guide line for a perfect logo, then where's the fun? Every logo would look the exact same way. What makes art and humanity in general interesting is diversity.

I just might have to alter some of my thoughts about logos. I also didn't realize that a lot of baseball logos don't have any overt connection to the sport...never really noticed it...I just thought most of them did...it looks like I was wrong.
