Logo Designers: "favorites Compilation" #4 Indianapolis Rounders
LOGO DESIGNERS: LOGO #4 FOR THE "FAVORITES COMPILATION"
INDIANAPOLIS ROUNDERS "ROUNDERS" was chosen because of its ties to an English forerunner and ancestor of baseball...the game of "rounders"...circling the "posts" (or "bases" in baseball) is called a "rounder" and is award one point in the game...similar to a baseball "run". Also chosen because Indianapolis is the home of the Indianapolis 500 racing event....where the Cars go "round and round and round"...hence "Rounders". This connection may be a little bit of a stretch, but I will include it here for your edification about the selection process. You may find this interesting: http://www.hickoksports.com/history/rounders.shtml If you would like to design a logo, you have until Midnight Tuesday at 11:59 pm CST (USA) to e-mail it to jnshmoo. You may submit more than one logo...but please make them distinctly different from each other...and not just slight variations of the same logo. HIS E-MAIL ADDRESS: ootplogo at jnshmoo.us (You will have to take out the "spaces" and add the real "at" symbol...this is to cut down on spam to jnshmoo) IF YOU DO NOT RECEIVE A RECEIPT CONFIRMATION OF YOUR ENTRY WITHIN 24 HOURS, CONTACT JNSHMOO BY PM (PRIVATE MESSAGE). YOU SHOULD ALSO RESEND YOUR ENTRY TO HIM. IT IS STRONGLY SUGGESTED THAT YOU GET YOUR ENTRY IN PRIOR TO THE LAST 24 HOURS OF THE ENTRY DEADLINE. Size: 150 x 150 pixels JPG FORMAT RULES: DO NOT USE ANY EXISTING PRO SPORTS LEAGUES LOGOS. A designer cannot use an already existing professional logo in the logo design and creation...it must be a new creation. The time zone is Central Standard Time in the USA...my time zone. DEADLINE TO SUBMIT YOUR LOGO: 11:59 PM CST TUESDAY For the time zone challenged, Midnight Central Time on Tuesday is: (COMPLIMENTS OF THE TIMELESS WONDER, LE GRANDE ORANGE) 9:59 p.m. Pacific on Tuesday 10:59 p.m. Mountain on Tuesday 11:59 p.m. Central on Tuesday 12:59 a.m. Eastern on Wednesday 1:59 a.m. Atlantic on Wednesday 5:59 a.m. GMT on Wednesday Last edited by Eugene Church; 02-03-2005 at 12:23 PM. |

Oh man, I'm 0-4 so far. Four different team names, and all four times nothing jumps out at me as a design concept. Back to my usual bag of tricks it seems... not that that's bad or anything, it's a pretty good bag of tricks, but it would be nice if one of the names would just pop out at me with a great idea...

Don't sweat it, LGO. You will wind up in the top three no matter what you do in any contest.
