Cuban Winter League Logos

I am the commissioner of the Cuban Winter League, an OOTP6 online baseball sim league which begin play in 1930. You can check out the website here:

http://cuban-league.com

Although I am happy with the way the website looks it really is missing some good team logos. The team names are as follows (transalation of team name is in brackets):

Almendares Alacranes (translated: Scorpions)
Cienfuegos Elefantes (Elephants)
Havna Leones (Lions)
Marianao Tigres (Tigers)
Camaguey Vaqueros (Cowboys)
Oriente Azucareros (Sugar Kings)
Santa Clara Leopardes (Leopards)
Santiago Salsa.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Dunno if that was a typo, but leopards is leopardOs in Spanish.

Here is a thread with some beautiful logos created for me and the Caracas Lions.

If you like one of them, have the designer change Lions to Leones.

See them here:

E. Church needs Caracas Lions logo.

scotto, knuckler, Boozie and nmleague all did fine logos...one of my alltime favorites is the Caracas Lions created by nmleague...he did two versions that look like they are embroidered and not printed.

His first one is my favorite of the two.

scotto's metal or brass look is quite unique, too.

Here's a try for the Tigres. You may recognise the Tiger from somewhere.

Although, I've just noticed from your owners page that Cooley is the Tigres' owner. He could probably do a lot better job himself of the Marianao logo!

Here is a shot at the Santiago Salsa, though it may be a little too "salsa."

To pre-emptively answer the question - yes, I must have been hungry for Doritos when I was making it.

All very well done, dougaiton, gmo and illeracula.

gmo know schedules very well...and it looks like he knows logos, too.

Oriente Azucareros...

It is from a graphic I found on this page about Cuban baseball. I tried moving the figure to the right edge then adding "Oriente" in the upper left corner with "Azucareros" across the very bottom but felt it looked better with just the little guy in the crown and wearing a sugar sack.

This is an attempt I had at Oriente.

I'm in two minds as to whether this looks actually okay, or in fact really, really bad. I decided the latter last night, but I've softened today, so here it is. I was going for a 1930s type thing, but gmo's is actually much better in that regard.

This is certainly not bad...it is very well done.

good font...fine design...and the hand and the cut sugar cane looks like a piece of art...fine work...a unique logo.

Thanks very much, EC.

I've gone to the other extreme with this one. I've pinched someone's wonderful animatic still of a leopard, and modified it to an image that would be more likely to grace someone's daughter's schoolbooks than a schoolbook!
