Perhaps what I had done wasn't that bad, but I wasn't happy with it at all so I dumped it. My drawing skills in such fields is virtually non-existant. I should take an art or drawing class or something.

Anyway, I've had a good run in the contest to date, so no complaints from me.

kind of ironic that we may be getting no Canadians on the podium this time around on the first Canadian theme.

Poetic justice for doing so well earlier on perhaps?

I agree. I like 13, but I didn't vote for it because of the contrast issues between the background and the lettering.

6 I really like as era specific. Many of the logos are great for a modern day league, but 6 is perfect for early 20th century. I guess we just don't have many around here that appreciate retro designs.

At first glance, #6 seemed pornographic.

Just a bump to get it back to the top.

Deadline for voting is early Friday morning.

I try not to figure out who the designers are before I vote...don't want my friendship for them to bias the vote...but it will be nice to know who did these fine logos.

Since the voting's over, I think it's safe for me to reveal that #11 is mine. Shouldn't have been too hard to figure out...

#1 was mine. In retrospect I don't like the colors. Of course I worked on it all of about 15 minutes. I promise to put more time into it next week!

Imagine what it would have looked like if you had spent 5 days on it.

Shame on you...only 15 minutes and you did a beautiful logo.

I thought you did #12, too...or maybe knuckler...he does the round logo very well, too.

But I don't think he puts entries in because he is on the committee to select cities and nicknames.

Mine was number 2, and I broke the top 10 this week. Woot! A truly mammoth achievement for a logo that is, at least in part, pink.

3 and 10.

3 was a good concept that didn't work well. I was happier with 10, but it was too busy and I should have worked on the concept a bit more to tone it down. It occured to me too late to lift the facial features off the otters and place those on the baseball - then move the maple leaf to in back of the ball.

I've got a new approach for the Jacksonville logo and I'm going back to redo the previous ones using these new ideas. It's amazing what you can learn about graphics if you stay up till 3am in the morning LOL. I'll keep them secret, however, until the Jacksonville vote is over

I thought yours was much better than the votes it received.

What were the small round circles at the midpoint on each side?

I missed the voting, but once again a lot of great logos this week. I like #3 despite it's simplicity, and I probably would've voted for #9 due to it's nice colours and sharpness.

Thaks very much, EC! Considering the superb standard of competition, I was pretty lucky to get as many as I did.

When I started with them, they were supposed to be baseballs, but if I defined them too clearly, and with the rest of the logo being quite pale, they looked a bit odd. So I took them out, and the sides of the logo felt like they could still do with something, so I stuck in a pale cirlce in the baseball's place. I probably should have stuck with the baseball idea!
