OOTP Logo Contest Week 5 - Ottawa Otters
We've come to the end of week 5 and we have a good bunch of logos to vote on.
Due to the success we had in the 2 round system when we used multiple choice polls, we are going to try that again this week. We will only have the one poll as we have less than 15 entries. Remember, This poll is MULTIPLE CHOICE! First group:

Just a note that multiple choice means you can vote for as many logos as you wish. I think the "otter" proved to be a challenge to everyone this week

So far it looks like the decision to go with multiple choice was a good one. I think we are seeing a much more exciting race than if we could only vote for one logo. I did mess up my vote and forgot one though. I'm surprised noone has voted for that one yet. I think #6 would be a great fit for a historical league. The look of it is perfect for the early 20th century.

Tough choices... I went with #1, #2, #9, and #10 in the end.
I love the way #1 is suggestive of water in the way the colours are set up. You really get a sense of depth perception, like the otter is swimming

I ended up going for #7 and #8, but you could add 9 through 12 to that as well without too much trouble. I thought 13 was fantastically ambitious, and very stylish, but the O of the Ottawa is just a little too much for my taste.
I'd just like to commend everyone on the lettering. With two short words, I found it very difficult to deal with them! |

I'm quite partial to anything involving a maple leaf this week.
My favorite might be the one with the leaf in the plate. However, I must say I really enjoyed all of them this week. I never ended up finishing my logo due to time contraints, but I wanted to say 'good job' to everyone and get my vote(s) in. |

Interesting that some of the relatively uncomplicated ones like #9 and #11 are getting a lot of votes. They all look great but it's nice to see that a logo doesn't have to be complicated to look good.

I went with #7, 8, 9 and 12. Lots of good ones on a really challenging logo though. Nice work.

been a long while since I can remember such a dead heat in the voting. Its a very encouraging sign to see such competition.

Hope you designers don't mind the comments...they are meant only in a constructive way...all of you are very talented.
Thank you all for these fine logos. #1...very well done...nice colors and font...cute otter. #2...very well done...nice traditional logo...like the crossed bats and the otter figure...wish the small circles showed what they are...if they are baseballs, they need to be larger...and they should be the same color as the otter or the lettering...should show up fine in OOTPB. #3...creative use of otter face for "O's". #4...creative use of otter and baseball for "O's". #5...technically good...will show up well in OOTPB...prefer animated otter rather than real one. #6...Very fine font...like the way the otter is holding the baseball...colors fit otter theme well. #7...very good otter figure...excellent background with mountain, forest, lake...good colors...great otter script...like inclusion of "baseball club" with the diamonds...wish "Ottawa" was larger so it would show up better in OOTPB...would prefer it without the black shadow effect on "Ottawa" lettering...it makes it harder to see. #8...very well done...fine colors and font...very good otter figure...like "baseball club"...should show up well in OOTPB. #9...very well done...fine colors and font...fine otter figure...should show up well in OOTPB. #10...well done...very good font and colors...like the baseball and maple leaf. #11...very well done...excellent "otters" script...excellent bat for script tail...would prefer that the darker blue and lighter blue in the "O" not be broken up or semi-circular...but in a complete circle...also prefer dark blue/navy blue color rather than the light blue...it would go better with the gray "Otters". #12...excellently done...my favorite of all of these...depicts baseball and Canadian theme very well...fine colors and font...like the diamond accents...and it should show up excellently in OOTPB. #13...done well...very cute otter...like the crossed bats and maple leaf with the "O"...lettering needs a better contrast with the brown background. Based on current results, I think it's safe to say that I'll finish off the medal podium this week. It's about time too! Let's have some other folks getting their share of the limelight.

I don't like logos that are "busy." And I only vote for one candidate in an election, so my ballot is cast for logo 2.
