THIS IS JUST POSTED EARLY TO GIVE MORE TIME TO THE DESIGNERS TO PRODUCE THE UNIFORMS.

THE DEADLINE FOR THIS UNIFORM WILL BE MONDAY, MARCH 14

YOU MUST SEND THE UNIFORM ENTRIES TO ALINKENS.

Our OOTPB Uniform Designers have decided to create uniforms for each of the cities in the Favorite Logos Compilation. The friendly competiton will be conducted in a very similar fashion as the Logo Favorites. The Uniform Designers will have 5 days (Thursday through Monday) to design them...Polls will be posted during the day Tuesday (after 3 pm) for the OOTPB Community to vote on the entries...the polls will end 48 hours (two days) later sometime Thursday...each week's favorite uniforms...there will be 3 to vote on...home uniform/away uniform/alternate uniform...will be uploaded to alinkens site, so the OOTPB Community will have access to them.

VOTERS WILL BE ALLOWED TO VOTE FOR MORE THAN ONE ENTRY IN EACH CATEGORY.

If you would like to design uniforms, you have until Midnight Monday, March 14 at 11:59 pm CST (USA) to e-mail them to alinkens.

HIS E-MAIL ADDRESS: alinkens at myeastern dot com. (You will have to take out the "spaces" and add the real "at" symbol and the "dot" symbol...this is to cut down on spam to him)

IF YOU DO NOT RECEIVE A RECEIPT CONFIRMATION OF YOUR ENTRY WITHIN 24 HOURS, CONTACT ALINKENS BY PM (PRIVATE MESSAGE). YOU SHOULD ALSO RESEND YOUR ENTRIES TO HIM.

IT IS STRONGLY SUGGESTED THAT YOU GET YOUR ENTRIES IN PRIOR TO THE LAST 24 HOURS OF THE ENTRY DEADLINE.

PLEASE READ THESE IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS:

You do not have to enter a uniform in all three categories.

The logo to be used in the uniform must be made using the winning logo from the logo contest.

The art on the uniform must be used from the selected logo but the lettering can be the designer's own.

Make the uniform template with Deft's standard template (Note: If you want to modify a template color or some other uniform mod, that is fine as long as it is interchangeable with Bobble heads).

Home Jerseys are light or white colored
Away Jerseys are darker

Make up to 3 .jpg (1 home/1 away using the default head in Deft's template, 1 alternate (using the same template but a different face and/or alternate uniform)...you do not have to enter all categories.

Each submission should not only include the .jpg files (i.e. the pictured of the uni) but the Photoshop .psd files (i.e. the graphics file with the seperated layers so the next user can add his own heads), preferrably all in a .zip file to save inbox space.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

One minor thing...

Shouldn't the road jerseys be some form of gray? and have the alternate be more colorful?

In the first contest, some of the submissions used colors other than gray for the road uniforms. When you do this, you almost make the voters choose between traditional or non-traditional unis. i for instance, will always prefer the more colorful unis over the gray ones.

You raise a good point about how much consistancy we should require to be fair but in the end, I'd like it to be as open as possible. You should go in knowing (which I didn't for the first week) that a lot of people would like to see grey in their away jersey. If you want to pander to the unwashed masses for a few extra votes (which I do), then you make it grey. If you're a bold innovator, any color.

I with you in that I like the bolder colors. The player pictures get shrunken down a lot in some screens and it's nice to see them still be unique and identifyable even in a very small size.

I would say that in my solo leagues, all of my uni's would considered alternate style. I just think that you have to do that to add team personality. I definitely found it weird doing the home and away's for the contest.

Quick point on naming of the files. Please put your OOTP username in the file as well as the team name and uniform type. ie: alinkens_sunrays_home.jpg

This makes it alot easier for me to put the collages together and also remember which ones are from who.

Me, too. Which is why I'm glad doing all three is optional. You can just submit a uni for Alt if you want.
