Logo Contest Request

I'm a huge fan of the current logo contest. Although my logo-making skills are fairly limited, I've enjoyed seeing what others have submitted and have participated in the voting.

Now that we have 8 (nearly 9) winning logos, can we get a logo set? I tried to piece one together, but a lot of the logos are stuck together, and since I don't have any good picture editing software when I try to resize or cut them I mess up their resolution.

You can crop them in Microsoft Word and then re-save the single logo your trying to use. Do you have MS Word?

Actually not a bad idea Chappy - maybe jnshmoo can post a zipfile containing all the winning logos?

I could be wrong, but all of the logo entries were supposed to be uploaded to JoeRock's and BigCity's websites to be available for downloading.

I'll check with jnshmoo and see if we were supposed to do this.

He has done a superb job with the polls...which must take quite a bit of time and a lot of work...he might need some help to upload all of them.

All of the logos are being zipped together and being uploaded to the websites, but I think he's looking for a set with the winner of each contest in one zip. This way he doesn't have to download all the zips to get just the winning logos in a set.

Do you mean that they are all uploaded to these sites each week? I realized all of the logos would be put together in a zip at the end, but I was wondering if we could go ahead and get the ones that have already been voted on.

I plan on using the winners, but I don't mind picking through them all. I just was under the impression they wouldn't be released as seperate files until the end.

Yes, I believe Works now includes Word. I didn't realize I could open graphics in it though.

I checked bigcity, and it looks like they do have week 1 logos for download, but it doesn't appear to have the other weeks.

JoeRocks apparently has the first two weeks.

What you would do is start a new document and attempt to Insert a graphic. From that point, you can crop the graphic (i.e. crop all other logos except the one you want out of the picture), and then re-save only the image file in paint or something like that (cut and paste).

Check the "more..." link at the bottom of the article. I believe I've uploaded everything I've gotten from jn so far.

Thanks Henry (or should I say, Al C.). If you click 'read more', you get weeks 1-4, which may be all you've gotten from jn so far.
